Quantum Workplace vs Culture Amp pricing comes down to one published number. Neither vendor prints a per-employee rate, but Quantum Workplace states a minimum annual contract of $15,000, while Culture Amp publishes no dollar figure at all and quotes on headcount, product and service tier. So Quantum Workplace is the only one of the two you can rule in or out on budget before a sales call. Which one ends up cheaper at your size depends on the quote, and the rest of this page is about what each quote is built from.
We read quantumworkplace.com/pricing on 24 October 2026 and cultureamp.com/pricing on 22 October 2026. Neither vendor gave us a quote and neither is affiliated with us. Every per-employee figure below is our arithmetic on a published number, and it is labeled as ours where it appears.
Which is cheaper, Quantum Workplace or Culture Amp?
Nobody can answer that from the outside. What you can say is how each vendor builds its number.
Quantum Workplace sets base pricing by total number of employees and puts a hard floor under it. Culture Amp sets pricing by number of employees, product chosen and service tier, and puts no floor in writing. So at the small end of a 100 to 500 person company, Quantum Workplace has a known starting point and Culture Amp has a blank. At the large end, both are quotes, and the comparison only becomes real once you hold two numbers for the same scope and the same term.
The fair test is engagement against engagement. Ask Quantum Workplace for Engagement alone and Culture Amp for Engage alone, at your exact headcount, for twelve months.
How much does Quantum Workplace cost?
The pricing page says it twice: "Minimum annual contract is $15,000", and in the FAQ, "Packages start at $15,000". There is no per-employee rate anywhere on the page. Base pricing is determined by total number of employees, and the page mentions multi-product and user-volume discounts.
Four products can be bought together, separately or a la carte. Engagement covers the engagement survey, lifecycle surveys, pulse surveys, action planning and Retention Radar. Performance covers goals, 1-on-1s, feedback and reviews. Development covers growth, talent reviews and succession. Recognition, powered by Assembly, covers recognition and rewards.
Quantum Workplace also states there is no implementation fee. Implementation comes as 1-on-1 support from a Customer Implementation Manager. Every plan includes HRIS integration, SSO, Slack, Teams and calendar integrations, 40+ languages, a mobile app, a dedicated Customer Success Manager, SOC2 and GDPR.
Service sits on top of software in three plans:
| Quantum Workplace service plan | What the pricing page lists |
|---|---|
| Signature (marked most popular) | Minimum contract value $15,000, dedicated CSM, guided implementation per feature, live 1-to-1 admin training, unlimited tech support |
| Signature Plus | Adds annual engagement survey implementation, a survey design session with an Insights Analyst, engagement insights analysis and a live executive presentation |
| Premium | Adds a dedicated Insights Analyst, strategic design sessions, KPI and cross-platform analyses, ongoing implementation support and live manager training |
Only Signature carries a printed figure. Signature Plus and Premium are quoted. Our Quantum Workplace pricing breakdown goes through each plan and what to ask for in writing.
What the $15,000 floor works out to per employee
A floor is easier to judge once it is spread across people. The table divides $15,000 by headcount, then by twelve. This is our arithmetic, not a Quantum Workplace rate, and your quote may sit above the floor.
| Employees | Floor per employee per year (our arithmetic) | Floor per employee per month (our arithmetic) | $4 per user card for a year (our arithmetic) | Viva Glint at $2.00 for a year (our arithmetic) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 100 | $150 | $12.50 | $4,800 | $2,400 |
| 200 | $75 | $6.25 | $9,600 | $4,800 |
| 300 | $50 | $4.17 | $14,400 | $7,200 |
| 500 | $30 | $2.50 | $24,000 | $12,000 |
The $4 column is 15Five Engage at $4 per user a month, and Lattice Engagement at $4 a seat a month, which lands on the same totals at these sizes because each is above Lattice's $4,000 minimum. Viva Glint is $2.00 per user a month and needs Microsoft 365. By our arithmetic, a $4 card overtakes the Quantum Workplace floor at 313 employees, where it reaches $15,024 a year. Below that, the floor costs more per head than either card. Above it, the question is how far the real quote rises above $15,000.
That is not the whole picture, because the floor includes a dedicated CSM and guided implementation, and a $4 self-serve card may not. Still, at 100 employees, $12.50 a head each month is a lot to pay for a survey if the service goes unused.
How much does Culture Amp cost?
Culture Amp publishes no dollar figure for US buyers. Its pricing page says cost depends on number of employees, product (Engage, Perform, Develop) and service tier, and that all products are billed annually. There is no minimum, no rate and no tier price on the page.
What it does publish is how service changes with headcount. Under 200 employees, customers get group customer success. From 200 to 999, they get one-on-one customer success plus an implementation project manager. At 1,000 and above, Enterprise adds a People Scientist. Every plan includes AI Coach, SSO, HRIS integrations, Slack and Teams, and 1-on-1s, Shoutouts and Skills Coach are always included. People Science consulting is an add-on.
The only per-user figures Culture Amp ever put in writing came from a UK government framework. Its UK G-Cloud 15 listing, which Culture Amp withdrew on 9 September 2026, gave average prices per user per month in pounds sterling. These are UK public-sector figures, in GBP, from a withdrawn listing. They are not a US price and we do not convert them.
| User band (UK G-Cloud 15, GBP, withdrawn) | Engage, average per user per month | Perform, average per user per month |
|---|---|---|
| 1 to 100 | £4.47 | £8.15 |
| 101 to 500 | £3.87 | £6.75 |
| 501 to 1,000 | £3.07 | £5.79 |
| 1,001 to 2,500 | £2.47 | £4.73 |
Read it for shape. The rate falls as headcount rises, and Perform sits well above Engage in every band. If a US quote does neither, ask why. Our Culture Amp pricing guide covers the products and service bands in more detail.
Is Culture Amp more expensive than Quantum Workplace?
Not provably, in either direction. Culture Amp has no floor in writing, so a 120-person company might get an Engage quote below $15,000 or above it, and only the quote will tell. Quantum Workplace cannot go below $15,000 at any size.
Where the two differ for certain is what the money includes. Quantum Workplace puts a dedicated CSM and guided implementation into the base, with no implementation fee. Culture Amp gives group customer success under 200 employees and moves you to one-on-one support at 200. If you are a 180-person company, that line matters. A Quantum Workplace contract at that size comes with a named CSM by default, and a Culture Amp contract, as published, does not.

Where each vendor wins
Quantum Workplace is the stronger fit for a service-heavy rollout. The floor buys a dedicated CSM and guided implementation, and the upper plans add an Insights Analyst and live presentations to executives and managers. It is also the only one of the two with a recognition module, and it runs the Best Places to Work contests, which are separate from the software purchase but matter if employer branding is part of the goal. Our page on alternatives to Quantum Workplace covers who else sells the same mix.
Culture Amp is the stronger fit when the survey program has to scale and connect to what comes after it. Perform and Develop sit on the same platform as Engage, People Science is available as an add-on, and the Enterprise tier brings a People Scientist at 1,000 employees. For a wider field, our list of Culture Amp competitors on price and contract terms lines up ten vendors.
Which is better for a 200 person company?
At 200 employees, the Quantum Workplace floor is $75 per employee a year, $6.25 a month, by our arithmetic. A $4 card at the same size is $9,600 a year. So if you will use the CSM, the guided rollout and the admin training, the floor buys something real. If you plan to run one survey a year and read the dashboard yourself, you are paying for service you will not use.
Culture Amp at 200 is a useful threshold. Its published bands put a 200-person company in the one-on-one customer success band with an implementation project manager, the same kind of support Quantum Workplace includes at any size. Ask Culture Amp for Engage alone at 200, ask Quantum Workplace for Engagement on Signature, and compare.
If neither number fits, a cheaper route may be the right call. We set out options built for that case on our page about an affordable Culture Amp alternative.
Getting a $15,000 contract approved
A $15,000 annual commitment rarely clears on a people leader's signature alone. At most 100 to 500 person companies it crosses the line where finance wants a purchase request, a review of the vendor's SOC2 report and a second quote on file, so if your company already routes vendor approvals through procurement software, open the request before the final sales call and attach both quotes to it. That way the renewal date, the notice period and any cap on the year-two increase get recorded with the contract rather than found later.
What to ask both vendors before signing
Put the same questions to each vendor in writing. What is the price for the engagement product alone at our exact headcount, for twelve months? What does year two cost, and is the increase capped? Who counts as an employee for billing? Which service tier comes with that price, and what does the next tier cost? What is excluded?
For Quantum Workplace, ask whether the quote is above the $15,000 floor and why, and what the multi-product discount is if you add Recognition or Performance later. For Culture Amp, ask where you sit against the 200 and 1,000 lines, and whether crossing one mid-term changes the price or only the service at renewal.
Where AssessmentCloud fits
AssessmentCloud is not a replacement for either vendor's full suite. We do not run performance reviews, recognition programs or 1-on-1s, and we have no award contest. If those are the purchase, pick between Quantum Workplace and Culture Amp.
What we do is a company-wide diagnostic. One report scores culture and engagement alongside process maturity and digital maturity, benchmarked against an industry median, with a prioritized action plan. The Business plan is $119 a month, which is $1,428 a year at the monthly rate or $708 a year billed yearly at $59 a month, by our arithmetic, with all 4 assessment areas and up to 500 respondents a month. That price does not rise with headcount up to the cap. If you want a baseline read before signing a $15,000 contract, see our flat monthly pricing.
