Qualtrics competitors for employee experience and what eleven rivals charge at 500 employees

Qualtrics prices its employee experience suite on employee count and prints no figure, so a rival only looks cheaper once you know what each rival puts in writing. This page reads all eleven at source and works out year one at 500 employees where the numbers exist.

DIRECT ANSWER

Qualtrics' main competitors in employee experience are Medallia, Perceptyx, Culture Amp, Workday Peakon, Microsoft Viva Glint, Quantum Workplace, WorkTango, Lattice, 15Five, Leapsome and Gallup. Qualtrics publishes no employee experience price: on qualtrics.com/pricing, read 6 October 2026, both EX packages say Request Pricing with the metric "based on employee count". Medallia, Perceptyx, Culture Amp, Workday Peakon and WorkTango publish nothing either. For a 500-person company buying engagement surveys only, our arithmetic on the published rates puts year one at $12,000 on Viva Glint (plus a Microsoft 365 enterprise subscription), $24,000 on Lattice, 15Five or Leapsome with its platform fee waived, and from $15,000 on Quantum Workplace. Medallia is the closest like-for-like enterprise rival, Perceptyx the closest for large frontline workforces, and Viva Glint the cheapest published option for Microsoft 365 shops.

Go deeper: this dimension works alongside what Qualtrics publishes on price and Qualtrics vs Perceptyx, and the guides on glint vs qualtrics and leapsome vs qualtrics show the frameworks behind the scoring.

What each Qualtrics competitor publishes on price, read at source

Qualtrics, Medallia, Perceptyx, Culture Amp, Lattice and 15Five were read on their own pricing pages on 6 October 2026. Leapsome, Viva Glint, Workday Peakon, Quantum Workplace and WorkTango were last read between 29 September and 2 October, and Gallup in August. The last column is our arithmetic for a 500-person company buying engagement surveys only, at list price, for one year. Where a vendor publishes nothing, the table says so rather than repeating an estimate from a review site.

Vendor Published price Minimum or term Year one at 500 employees, engagement only (our arithmetic)
Qualtrics None. Both Employee Experience packages say Request Pricing Pricing metric stated as based on employee count; unlimited users Not published

Viva Glint $2.00 per user a month standalone Paid yearly, auto renews, 50-seat minimum, Microsoft 365 enterprise subscription required $12,000, plus the Microsoft 365 subscription

15Five Engage $4, Perform $11, Total Platform $16 per user a month Billed annually, no published minimum on standard packages $24,000 on Engage
Leapsome Engagement Surveys $4 per employee a month, plus a required platform fee of $7 ($0 if bought by 31 December) No minimum term stated on the pricing page $24,000 with the platform waived, $66,000 at full list
Gallup Q12 $20.00 per participant for the one-time store survey Four participants minimum, no adding participants after purchase $10,000 per survey run, no continuous platform
AssessmentCloud Flat $49, $119 or $279 a month, or $24, $59 or $139 a month billed yearly No per-employee meter, no annual minimum $708 billed yearly on Business. A whole-company diagnostic, not a listening platform

Each of the main rivals has its own deeper page. Qualtrics pricing sets out the metric behind every Qualtrics quote, Qualtrics vs Perceptyx compares the two closest enterprise listening suites, Culture Amp vs Qualtrics covers the survey-science rival, and Glint vs Qualtrics pricing runs the Microsoft rate card against a Qualtrics quote. For the vendors that print a card see Viva Glint pricing, Leapsome pricing, 15Five pricing and Quantum Workplace pricing. The same exercise for three other vendors lives on Perceptyx competitors, Culture Amp competitors and Lattice competitors.

What you get

Medallia is the only rival built the same way

Medallia sells customer and employee listening on one platform with unlimited users, which is the Qualtrics model. It prices on what it calls Experience Data Records, all the data from one interaction between a company and a customer or employee, in annual tiers, and its pricing page shows no figure, only Talk to Sales. If you are replacing Qualtrics across both CX and EX, Medallia is the shortlist of one. If you only run employee surveys, it is more platform than you need.

Five of the eleven publish nothing at all

Qualtrics, Medallia, Perceptyx, Culture Amp, Workday Peakon and WorkTango all route price to a sales call. Perceptyx goes furthest: perceptyx.com/pricing returned a 404 on 6 October 2026. That means a cheaper Qualtrics alternative can only be proven with written quotes at your exact headcount. The vendors that do print a card, Viva Glint, Lattice, 15Five, Leapsome, Quantum Workplace and Gallup, let you do the sum before the first meeting.

Viva Glint is the cheapest published rate, with a condition

Microsoft lists Viva Glint at $2.00 per user a month on a yearly term with a 50-seat minimum, which is $12,000 a year at 500 employees by our arithmetic. The condition is that it requires a Microsoft 365 enterprise subscription, so it is only cheap for a company already paying for one. For a Microsoft 365 shop that wants listening inside Teams, it is the number every other quote has to beat.

Per-seat suites cost the same at 500 and differ on the rest

Lattice Engagement, 15Five Engage and Leapsome Engagement Surveys all list at $4 per employee a month, so engagement alone is $24,000 a year at 500 people on each. What separates them is everything else. Lattice adds a $4,000 annual floor that stops binding at this size, 15Five bundles coaching tools, and Leapsome charges a $7 platform fee per employee a month after its 31 December waiver, which takes the same year to $66,000 at full list.

Searching for a CX replacement? This is the wrong list

Many people typing Qualtrics competitors run customer surveys, not employee ones. For customer experience the usual rivals are Medallia, SurveyMonkey, Alchemer, Forsta and InMoment, and the deciding questions are interaction volumes and contact center analytics. This page stays on employee experience, where Qualtrics prices on headcount and the rivals are HR software vendors.

What none of the eleven measure

Every vendor here runs an employee listening or people program. None of them scores whether the company's processes, digital tools, skills coverage or compliance posture are what is dragging engagement down. AssessmentCloud scores all five dimensions, culture and engagement, process maturity, digital maturity, skills gaps and compliance readiness, into one 0 to 100 report against an industry median, at a flat published monthly price. It is not a continuous listening platform and does not replace Qualtrics for that job.

HOW IT WORKS

From setup to scored report

01

Decide whether you are replacing CX, EX or both

Qualtrics bills CX on interactions and EX on employee count, so the two are separate purchases even inside one contract. If both are leaving, Medallia is the only rival that takes both. If only EX is leaving, the field opens to HR vendors that are often much cheaper.

02

Price every vendor at your own headcount

Multiply each published per-employee rate by your headcount and twelve, then check it against the vendor's floor or seat minimum. Quantum Workplace starts at $15,000 a year whatever the size, Viva Glint needs 50 seats, and Lattice has a $4,000 floor. For the six vendors that print nothing, ask for an all-in year-one figure in writing.

03

Ask about term length and renewal before features

Workday's UK public sector filing for Peakon shows a 3-year term on the full headcount, WorkTango states a 12-month minimum, and Viva Glint auto renews yearly. Ask every rival for term, renewal uplift and notice period. Those lines change the three-year total more than any feature grid.

04

Measure the company before you sign another listening contract

Run one whole-company diagnostic first. If culture and engagement is the weakest dimension, buy the listening platform with confidence. If process or digital maturity scores lower, a better survey program will keep measuring the symptom rather than the cause.

DIAGNOSTIC INPUT, NOT A CERTIFIED AUDIT.

AssessmentCloud scores tell you how ready you are and what to fix. They do not certify you against SOC 2, ISO 27001, or any legal framework, and we never claim they do. Only an accredited auditor can certify you. Run the diagnostic first, walk into the audit without surprises, and spend auditor hours on certification instead of discovery.

FAQ

Questions about qualtrics competitors

In employee experience, Qualtrics' main competitors are Medallia, Perceptyx, Culture Amp, Workday Peakon, Microsoft Viva Glint, Quantum Workplace, WorkTango, Lattice, 15Five, Leapsome and Gallup. In customer experience and research the list changes to Medallia, SurveyMonkey, Alchemer, Forsta and InMoment. Medallia is the only vendor that competes on both sides.

Medallia is Qualtrics' biggest competitor because it sells the same kind of platform, customer and employee listening with analytics and unlimited users, to the same enterprise buyers. In employee experience alone, Perceptyx and Microsoft Viva Glint are the rivals most often shortlisted against Qualtrics at large companies, and Culture Amp at mid-size ones.

Qualtrics publishes no employee experience price, so no rival can be proven cheaper without a written quote. Among vendors that publish, Viva Glint lists $2.00 per user a month, which is $12,000 a year at 500 employees by our arithmetic, if you already have Microsoft 365 enterprise. Lattice, 15Five and Leapsome engagement modules list at $4 per employee a month.

Qualtrics does not publish a price for its Employee Experience packages. Its pricing page, read 6 October 2026, shows Request Pricing for both and states that EX is priced based on employee count, with unlimited users included. Any dollar range you read elsewhere is a third-party estimate rather than a Qualtrics rate.

Neither is better in general. Both run customer and employee listening on one enterprise platform with unlimited users. The practical difference is the meter: Qualtrics prices EX on employee count and CX on interactions, while Medallia prices everything on Experience Data Records in annual tiers. Ask both to price the same forecast and compare the totals.

Yes, in employee experience. Culture Amp competes with Qualtrics EmployeeXM for engagement, lifecycle and performance surveys, and is usually chosen for its survey science and external benchmarks at mid-size companies. It does not compete in customer experience or market research. Like Qualtrics, Culture Amp publishes no price.

Ask for the year-one total at your exact headcount, the pricing metric in writing, the minimum term, the renewal uplift and notice period, and whether any promotional waiver ends after year one. Workday Peakon's 3-year term, Leapsome's platform waiver and Quantum Workplace's $15,000 floor are the terms most likely to change the real cost.
