Great Place To Work does not publish a price for Certification anywhere on its own site. Its certification FAQ confirms a fee exists and describes what the fee buys, verbatim, that the program fee covers the cost of the survey and the data analysis needed to produce a Great Place To Work Certification profile, employer branding assets, and reports showing you how your workplace compares to the country Best Workplaces in your size category. It does not attach a number to that, and the quote is sized by employee count and by which services you add. Those statements were read off greatplacetowork.com in September 2026. What is published, and what matters far more before you commit budget, are four rules. First, eligibility starts at 10 or more employees. Second, Certification is a two step process: you complete the Culture Brief, a company questionnaire, and you field the Trust Index Survey, which runs 60 statements plus two open-ended questions and 14 demographic questions and takes employees 10 to 20 minutes. Third, there is a score bar. Great Place To Work states that to earn Certification the average across your survey results must show that approximately 7 out of 10 of your employees are having a consistently positive experience at work, where positive means four and above on the five point scale. Fourth, Certification lasts 12 months, after which you re-field to keep it. Two consequences of that structure are worth naming plainly. You can pay the fee and fail, because the fee buys the assessment and not the outcome, and Great Place To Work says so in its own guidance for companies that miss the threshold. And you can be disqualified on process rather than on culture: the FAQ warns that failing to include any eligible employee group, intentionally or inadvertently, or failing to invite the required number of employees, results in disqualification from Certification and from Best Workplaces list eligibility. One cost that is genuinely zero is the badge. Great Place To Work states the Certification badge is license-free and that there is no cost to use it anywhere, which is worth knowing because badge licensing is a real line item in some other employer recognition programs. Assessmentcloud is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a substitute for Great Place To Work, we do not administer the Trust Index Survey, and nothing on this page confers or predicts Certification or award eligibility. What this platform does is the thing you would sensibly do before spending on a certification cycle you might not clear: score five organizational dimensions, culture and engagement (CU-01), process maturity (PR-02), digital maturity (DM-03), skills gaps (SG-04) and compliance readiness (CR-05), into one 0 to 100 report against an industry median, so you find out where you stand on your own terms first.
