Employee engagement survey pricing: what employee survey software costs per employee, and what a flat price covers

Almost nobody publishes a price. Ask seven engagement vendors what a survey costs and five will send you a calendar link, which turns budgeting into a research project before it is ever a purchase. This page collects what the vendors who do publish actually charge, checked on their own pricing pages, what the per-employee model works out to at 100, 300, and 1,000 people, and where a flat monthly price is genuinely cheaper rather than just cheaper sounding.

LAST UPDATED AUGUST 2026

Employee engagement survey pricing follows two models, and the choice between them matters more than any single vendor rate. Most platforms charge per employee per month, commonly $4 to $16 a seat on an annual contract, so the bill scales with headcount whether or not more people produce more insight. A smaller group charges a flat fee for the whole company. Verified at each vendor's own pricing page on August 3, 2026: Lattice publishes Engagement at $4 a seat a month with a $4,000 minimum annual contract; 15Five publishes Engage at $4, Perform at $11, and Total Platform at $16 a user a month; Workleap publishes flat annual tiers starting at $4,999 and $11,999; Leapsome publishes a starting price of $199 a month with a twelve month minimum; Quantum Workplace publishes no seat rate but states a $15,000 minimum annual contract. Culture Amp, Qualtrics, Workday Peakon, Perceptyx, WorkTango, CultureMonkey, and Energage publish no figures at all and route every request to sales. On per-seat list pricing a 300 person company generally lands between $29,000 and $79,000 a year. Assessmentcloud is priced flat at $49 a month for the whole company on Team, $119 on Business, and $279 on Consultancy, with no per-employee fee, and it scores five organizational dimensions 0 to 100 against an industry median rather than running a continuous engagement program. That is a difference in scope as well as price, and the table below says plainly which job each kind of tool is better at.

Go deeper: this dimension works alongside employee engagement surveys and employee survey software, and the guides on employee engagement software cost and best employee survey software show the frameworks behind the scoring.

LANDSCAPE

What each vendor actually publishes, checked August 3, 2026

Every price below was read off the vendor's own public pricing page on August 3, 2026. Where a vendor publishes no figure, the table says so rather than repeating a third-party estimate, because aggregator numbers for this category are frequently wrong. Vendors change pricing without notice, so confirm the current terms directly before you buy.

Vendor What they publish Pricing model What to check before you buy
Lattice Engagement $4 a seat a month, Performance $10, Goals and OKRs $8. Minimum annual contract value $4,000 Per seat, billed annually, USD Whether you need only the Engagement module or the bundle. The $4,000 minimum sets the real floor below roughly 85 seats
15Five Engage $4 a user a month, Perform $11, Total Platform $16 Per user, billed annually Which tier carries the survey features you need. Engagement surveys sit in the cheapest tier, so confirm the reporting depth is enough
Workleap (Officevibe) Standard from $4,999 a year, Pro from $11,999 a year, Enterprise custom for 250 or more employees Flat annual tiers rather than per seat, billed annually Where the tier boundaries fall for your headcount, and what moves you from Standard to Pro
Leapsome Starting price of $199 a month. Customer Success support gated at an annual contract of $6,000 or more Per user with module bundling, twelve month minimum contract Which modules are in scope. Per-module pricing is not published, so the starting price rarely equals your price
Quantum Workplace No seat rate published. States a $15,000 minimum annual contract value Quote based on total employee count, multi-product discounts available That the $15,000 floor fits your budget at all. Below a few hundred employees this is an expensive per-head outcome
Culture Amp Nothing. Pricing is quote only, banded by size under 200, 200 to 999, and 1,000 or more employees Per employee, billed annually, by quote The all-in annual total at your headcount, plus which service tier is attached and whether it is optional
Qualtrics, Workday Peakon, Perceptyx, WorkTango, CultureMonkey, Energage Nothing. Every route on their pricing pages is a demo or contact request Quote only, generally per employee and annual Whether the licence counts full headcount or only respondents, which materially changes the number at several of these vendors
Assessmentcloud Team $49 a month, Business $119 a month, Consultancy $279 a month, Enterprise on request. Discounted billed yearly Flat monthly price for the whole company, no per-employee fee That the scope fits. This is a benchmarked organizational assessment, not a continuous engagement and recognition suite

The honest reading of this table is that price and scope move together. If what you need is a continuous engagement program, weekly pulses, recognition, performance reviews, and manager nudges wired into daily work, the per-employee platforms in the upper rows do considerably more than we do, and the seat fee buys that breadth. If what you need is a benchmarked read on where the organization actually stands across culture, process, digital maturity, skills, and compliance readiness, repeated on a schedule so you can see whether anything moved, paying per head every month for a suite you use twice a year is a poor trade. Our flat price is what makes the repeat affordable, and repetition is where the value of any of this sits. The employee engagement software cost breakdown works through the per-employee arithmetic in more detail, and the employee survey software comparison covers features rather than price.

FLAT PRICE · ALL 5 DIMENSIONS

What you get

A published price, checked at the source

Every figure on this page came off the vendor's own pricing page on August 3, 2026, not off a listicle or a review aggregator. Where a vendor publishes nothing, this page says so rather than repeating a number somebody guessed. Confirm current terms with any vendor before you sign, because these change.

Flat, so the bill stops tracking headcount

Per-seat pricing means hiring 40 people raises your survey bill whether or not you learn anything more. A flat monthly price for the whole company makes the cost of asking independent of how many people you ask, which is what makes an honest company-wide census affordable instead of a sampled compromise.

The real number at your size, not a seat rate

A $4 seat rate reads cheap and bills at $48,000 a year for 1,000 people. The worked figures further down run the arithmetic at 100, 300, and 1,000 employees against the published rates, including the minimum annual contracts that quietly set the floor for smaller teams.

Scope stated honestly, not just price

Cheaper is only useful if the tool does the job. A continuous engagement suite with pulse surveys, recognition, and performance reviews is a different product from a benchmarked organizational assessment, and the comparison table says which one fits which need rather than pretending the price alone settles it.

HOW IT WORKS

From setup to scored report

01

Count who actually gets surveyed

Per-employee pricing is usually quoted against total headcount, not against the people who respond. Ask explicitly whether contractors, part-time staff, and seasonal workers count toward the seat number, because at some vendors they do and that decides the bill.

02

Ask for the total, never the seat rate

A seat rate is not a price. Ask for the annual total at your exact headcount, in writing, including the minimum contract value. Lattice publishes a $4,000 annual minimum and Quantum Workplace states $15,000, and minimums like those often matter more than the per-seat number for a company under 200 people.

03

Separate the platform fee from the service fee

Enterprise engagement pricing frequently bundles implementation, a dedicated customer success manager, action-planning workshops, and consultant analysis into the number. Ask which parts are optional and what the platform alone costs, then decide whether you are buying software or a consulting engagement, because the two justify very different budgets.

04

Price the re-run, not the first survey

A single survey tells you where you stand once. The measurement only becomes useful when you repeat it and compare, so budget for the second and third run at the outset. This is where per-employee and flat pricing diverge most sharply, and it is the question most buyers do not ask until renewal.

DIAGNOSTIC INPUT, NOT A CERTIFIED AUDIT.

Assessmentcloud scores tell you how ready you are and what to fix. They do not certify you against SOC 2, ISO 27001, or any legal framework, and we never claim they do. Only an accredited auditor can certify you. Run the diagnostic first, walk into the audit without surprises, and spend auditor hours on certification instead of discovery.

FAQ

Questions about employee engagement survey pricing

It depends almost entirely on the pricing model. Per-employee platforms commonly list $4 to $16 a seat a month on an annual contract, which puts a 300 person company roughly between $29,000 and $79,000 a year at list. Flat-price platforms charge one monthly fee for the whole company regardless of headcount, starting around $49 to $279 a month. Full-service consultant-run surveys with custom design and analysis are quoted separately and typically start in the low thousands.

There is no reliable single average, because the category spans free question templates, self-serve software at a few dollars a seat, and six-figure enterprise programs with consultants attached. The useful number is your own: multiply your headcount by the quoted seat rate, add any minimum annual contract, add implementation and service fees, then divide by the number of times a year you will actually run it. That figure is comparable across vendors in a way an industry average never is.

Published per-seat rates from vendors that disclose them run from $4 to $16 a user a month, billed annually. Lattice lists Engagement at $4 a seat a month, 15Five lists Engage at $4, Perform at $11, and Total Platform at $16. Quote-only vendors generally sit in the same band or above once service tiers are included. Watch the minimum annual contract value, which sets the effective floor for companies under a few hundred people.

Most do not. Of the major vendors checked on August 3, 2026, Lattice, 15Five, Workleap, and Leapsome publish figures, Quantum Workplace publishes only a $15,000 minimum annual contract, and Culture Amp, Qualtrics, Workday Peakon, Perceptyx, WorkTango, CultureMonkey, and Energage publish nothing and route buyers to sales. Treat third-party pricing listicles with caution, since aggregator figures for this category are often outdated or simply invented.

Flat pricing wins as headcount rises and as survey frequency falls. At $4 a seat a month, 100 employees costs about $4,800 a year, 300 costs about $14,400, and 1,000 costs about $48,000, while a flat price stays the same at every one of those sizes. Per-employee pricing is the better deal when you genuinely use the whole suite continuously, because the seat fee is buying daily-use features rather than a periodic measurement.

Culture Amp publishes no prices. Its pricing page states that cost depends on employee count, the product chosen from Engage, Perform, or the full platform, and the service tier, with size bands for under 200, 200 to 999, and 1,000 or more employees, and all products billed annually. Every route on the page is a quote request. Ask for the all-in annual total at your headcount and for the service tier to be itemized separately, since that component is often the larger share.

Gallup does not publish a rate card. Its own access page directs organizations with fewer than 100 employees to a one-time engagement survey purchasable through the Gallup store, and organizations with more than 100 employees to a consultant conversation with no published figure. Per-person prices circulate on third-party sites, but they are not confirmed on Gallup's own pages, so check the store or ask Gallup directly rather than budgeting from a secondhand number.

Four recur often enough to ask about every time. Minimum annual contract values, which can double the effective rate for a small company. Implementation and onboarding fees charged once at the start. Service tiers covering a dedicated customer success manager or action-planning support, sometimes mandatory above a headcount threshold. And seat counting based on total headcount rather than respondents, which means you pay for people who never open the survey.

On published per-seat rates, roughly $4,800 to $19,200 a year depending on the tier, though minimum annual contracts often lift the real floor: Lattice's $4,000 minimum is close to list at that size, while Quantum Workplace's $15,000 minimum works out expensive per head. Flat-price platforms land between about $600 and $3,400 a year for the same 100 people. Budget separately for the analysis time somebody has to spend acting on the results, which is the cost every quote leaves out.
