Employee engagement survey vendors, companies and tools: which ones publish a price, and who each vendor is actually for

Most shortlists get built the same way. Someone searches, opens nine tabs, and finds that eight of the nine will not tell them what anything costs until they sit through a discovery call. Two weeks later the shortlist is whichever three vendors answered the phone fastest, which is a selection method for sales responsiveness rather than for fit. This page exists to skip that fortnight.

DIRECT ANSWER

Employee engagement survey vendors split into two groups, and the split matters more than any feature comparison. Ten of the eighteen vendors below publish a real number on their own website: Lattice lists Engagement at $4 per seat per month against a $4,000 minimum annual agreement, Microsoft lists Viva Glint at $2.00 per user per month standalone, 15Five lists $4 to $16 per user per month, Gallup sells the Q12 instrument at $20.00 per participant on its own store, Quantum Workplace states that packages start at $15,000, Workleap lists plans from $4,999 a year, Leapsome shows a starting figure of 199 per user per month without a resolved currency, and Pointerpro, ScoreApp and Brilliant Assessments each publish tiered monthly rates. The other eight, Qualtrics, Culture Amp, Perceptyx, Workday Peakon, WorkTango, CultureMonkey, Energage and Great Place To Work, publish nothing and route every buyer to a quote. Entering the Top Workplaces award is the one genuine exception: Energage states there is no cost to nominate, participate or win, while pricing its platform on request. Every figure on this page was read off the vendor own website in September 2026, not off a review aggregator, and vendors change packaging between cycles, so treat these as the baseline you verify against rather than as a quote. The practical consequence for a 300-person company is that per-seat and per-employee models land in a very different place than flat organization-wide pricing, which is the comparison the table below is built to make visible.

Go deeper: this dimension works alongside employee engagement survey pricing and employee engagement surveys, and the guides on employee survey vendors and best employee survey software show the frameworks behind the scoring.

LANDSCAPE

Employee engagement survey vendors compared on published price, September 2026

Every figure below was read off the vendor own website in September 2026, not off a review aggregator or a listicle. Vendors change packaging and pricing between cycles, and several publish a headline rate that carries conditions stated elsewhere on the same site, so treat this as the baseline you verify against rather than as a quote. Where a number is our arithmetic rather than the vendor own, the row says so. We are the last row and we lose several of these comparisons deliberately.

Vendor Published price (read September 2026) Pricing model Who it genuinely suits
Lattice $4 per seat per month for Engagement. Performance $10, Goals and OKRs $8, Compensation add-on $6, Grow add-on $4. Minimum annual agreement $4,000, billed annually in USD Per seat, modular Companies already buying performance management that want engagement in the same system
Microsoft Viva Glint $2.00 per user per month standalone, $6.00 within Workplace Analytics and Employee Feedback, $12.00 in the full Viva Suite, paid yearly Per user, Microsoft licensing Microsoft 365 organizations. A Microsoft 365 license is a prerequisite and Glint is not included in any M365 plan, including E5
15Five $4 to $16 per user per month across Engage, Perform and Total Platform, billed annually Per user, modular Small and mid-size companies wanting engagement and performance from one vendor
Leapsome No firm rate published. A starting figure of 199 per user per month shows against an unresolved currency selector. Per-module pricing by quote, 12 month minimum term. Customer Success requires a 6,000 euro or dollar or higher annual contract Per module Buyers who can work without a confirmed list price and want modular scope
Gallup (Q12) $20.00 per participant on the Gallup store, SKU 13870, four participant minimum. Participants cannot be added after purchase. Gallup Access is quoted separately Per participant, one-off Teams that want the Q12 instrument itself rather than an ongoing listening platform
Quantum Workplace Packages start at $15,000. Base pricing is set by total employee count, with multi-product and volume discounts available Annual package Mid-market and enterprise buyers with a committed budget line
Workleap (Officevibe) Workleap plans from $4,999 a year on the Standard tier. No standalone Officevibe price published Annual plan Teams wanting a light, manager-led pulse habit rather than an annual research program
Pointerpro From $69 a month. White-label tiers are custom quotes Monthly, tiered Consultants and agencies building their own branded assessments
ScoreApp $39 to $149 a month, Enterprise $799 Monthly, tiered Marketing scorecards and lead-generation quizzes rather than employee listening
Brilliant Assessments $299 a month small business, $399 a month or $3,990 a year Starter, $9,990 a year Advanced, up to $79,990 a year Elite, metered by responses Metered by responses Assessment builders who need heavy report logic, not engagement survey buyers
Qualtrics Not published. Quote only, priced on employee count Quote Enterprises that want one research platform spanning employee and customer experience
Culture Amp Not published. States pricing depends on employee count, product chosen and service tier, billed annually. Segments buyers under 200, 200 to 999 and 1,000 plus Quote Mid-market and enterprise buyers who want people science advisory alongside the platform
Perceptyx Not published. There is no pricing page; the /pricing URL returned a 404 when we checked Quote, sales-led Large enterprises buying listening plus advisory as a program rather than a tool
Workday Peakon Not published. Quote only, licensed against full headcount rather than active users Quote Existing Workday customers who want employee voice inside the same suite
WorkTango Not published. Three tiers all shown as Request Pricing. 12 month minimum. Reward points are paid as redeemed rather than upfront Quote Buyers who want recognition and rewards bundled with surveys
CultureMonkey Not published. States pricing is based on the number of employees and the level of support chosen Quote Mid-market buyers wanting a survey-led product with regional support
Energage (Top Workplaces) Award entry is free: Energage states there is no cost to nominate, participate or win. The separate paid platform publishes no price and its pricing URL returned a 404 when we checked Free award, quoted platform Employer branding and award entry. A 35 employee minimum and 35 percent response rate floor apply
Great Place To Work Not published. States the cost varies by company size and services chosen, and directs buyers to contact the team for a tailored quote Quote Companies buying a certification badge with a 12 month validity for recruitment marketing
Assessmentcloud Flat monthly list price for the whole organization rather than per employee: Team $49, Business $119, Consultancy $279, published in full Flat, organization-wide Teams wanting a scored read across five organizational dimensions rather than engagement sentiment alone. Not an engagement survey specialist

Two honest caveats. First, this table compares what each vendor publishes, which is not the same as what each vendor charges: a quote-only vendor may well come in below a published rate for your headcount, and the only way to find out is to ask. Second, we are not an equivalent product to most rows here. Assessmentcloud is an organizational diagnostic covering culture and engagement, process maturity, digital maturity, skills gaps and compliance readiness, not a dedicated employee listening platform, and for a company whose specific need is continuous engagement measurement with deep benchmarks, several vendors above are a better fit. If you want the per-vendor detail, each name links through from our alternatives comparisons.

What you get

Published price is the fastest shortlist filter there is

Whether a vendor publishes a number is not a trivia question. It predicts how the rest of the purchase will go: how long procurement takes, whether the quote moves when you push, and whether the renewal price is anchored to anything you can point at. A vendor that lists $4 per seat has already decided what it charges. A vendor that quotes decides what to charge you after it has seen your headcount. Neither is dishonest, but they are different purchases, and knowing which one you are in before the first call is worth more than any feature matrix.

Per-seat, per-participant and flat pricing diverge sharply with headcount

At 40 people almost every model looks affordable. At 300 they separate hard. A $4 per seat per month engagement module is roughly $14,400 a year at 300 seats before add-ons; a $15,000 starting package is $15,000 whether you have 200 people or 900; a one-off $20.00 per participant instrument is a different kind of spend again, closer to buying a questionnaire than subscribing to a platform. Work out your own number at your own headcount before you compare, because the ranking changes depending on where you sit.

Half the market bundles engagement into performance management

Lattice, 15Five and Leapsome price engagement as one module beside performance reviews, goals and compensation. That is excellent value if you want those things and a poor deal if you do not, because the module you actually want carries a share of a platform you will not use. Vendors like Perceptyx, Peakon and Energage sell listening as the product itself. Decide which of those two shapes you are buying before you compare prices, or you will compare numbers that are not measuring the same thing.

The prerequisite you find after signing is the expensive one

Viva Glint is the clearest example, and it is published. Microsoft lists it at $2.00 per user per month, which reads as the cheapest option on this page until you notice a Microsoft 365 license is a prerequisite and that Glint is not included in any Microsoft 365 or Office 365 plan, including E5. Leapsome lists its entry price in euros, not dollars, and gates Customer Success behind a 6,000 euro or higher annual contract. Gallup sells the Q12 in blocks with a four participant minimum and does not let you add participants after purchase. These conditions are all published; they are just published somewhere other than the headline.

HOW IT WORKS

From setup to scored report

01

Write down your headcount and your renewal date before you look at anything

Every model on this page resolves to a different annual number depending on those two facts, and vendors quote against them. Going into a first call without your own arithmetic means the first number you hear becomes the anchor. Do the multiplication yourself for the three models that apply to you: per seat per month times twelve, per participant times respondents, and flat annual. Then you are comparing your numbers rather than theirs.

02

Separate the vendors that publish from the vendors that quote, and treat them differently

For the ten that publish, the work is arithmetic and you can do it today. For the eight that quote, the only useful move is to ask for the number in writing against a stated headcount and a stated term, early, before you have spent hours in demos. A quote-only vendor is not a worse vendor, but it costs you calendar time to price, and that time should be spent deliberately rather than by default.

03

Ask what happens at renewal, in writing, in the first conversation

This is the question that separates a good purchase from a bad one, and almost nobody asks it while they still have leverage. Ask specifically: what happens to the rate if headcount grows twenty percent, what is the uplift cap at renewal, and does the benchmark data stay available if we leave. Published-price vendors usually answer plainly because the answer is already on the site. Quote-only vendors answer plainly when you ask before you are committed.

04

Decide whether you are buying a survey or a diagnosis, because they are different products

An engagement survey tells you how people feel about working there, tracked over time against a benchmark. An organizational diagnostic tells you which part of the operation is weakest across several dimensions at once. Companies that conflate the two buy an engagement platform, discover the real problem is process or capability rather than sentiment, and have no instrument pointed at it. Both are legitimate purchases; buying one while needing the other is the common and expensive mistake.

DIAGNOSTIC INPUT, NOT A CERTIFIED AUDIT.

Assessmentcloud scores tell you how ready you are and what to fix. They do not certify you against SOC 2, ISO 27001, or any legal framework, and we never claim they do. Only an accredited auditor can certify you. Run the diagnostic first, walk into the audit without surprises, and spend auditor hours on certification instead of discovery.

FAQ

Questions about survey vendors

Ten of the eighteen on this page. Lattice publishes $4 per seat per month for Engagement with a $4,000 minimum annual agreement, Microsoft publishes Viva Glint at $2.00 per user per month standalone, 15Five publishes $4 to $16 per user per month, Gallup sells the Q12 at $20.00 per participant, Quantum Workplace states packages start at $15,000, and Workleap, Leapsome, Pointerpro, ScoreApp and Brilliant Assessments each list rates. Read in September 2026.

Where vendors publish a per-seat rate it currently runs from $2.00 to $16 per user per month, and the platforms that bundle performance management sit at the top of that band. At 300 people, a $4 per seat per month engagement module works out to roughly $14,400 a year on our arithmetic, before add-ons or minimums. Quote-only vendors publish no per-employee figure at all.

Because they price on headcount, product mix and service tier, which are three variables they prefer to establish before quoting. Culture Amp states plainly that pricing depends on the number of employees, the product chosen and the service tier, and segments buyers under 200, 200 to 999 and 1,000 plus. Perceptyx has no pricing page at all. It is a deliberate commercial model rather than an oversight.

Yes. Energage states on topworkplaces.com that there is no cost to nominate, participate or win awards, and describes Top Workplaces as the only no-cost employer recognition program. The gates are a 35 employee minimum and a 35 percent response rate floor rather than a fee. The separate paid Energage platform publishes no price.

On published headline rates, Microsoft Viva Glint at $2.00 per user per month is the lowest listed figure, but a Microsoft 365 license is a prerequisite and Glint is not included in any Microsoft 365 plan including E5, so the real cost depends on licensing you may or may not already own. For an organization that is not already on Microsoft 365, the comparison changes completely.

You can run the questionnaire yourself with any survey tool. What you cannot produce yourself is a benchmark, which is the thing most buyers are actually paying for. If the goal is a defensible comparison against your industry rather than an internal snapshot, that is the line where a vendor earns its fee. If you only need to ask your own people your own questions once, it may not.

The contract is rarely the constraint; the trend line is. Most vendors will not import a competitor historical scores in a way that preserves comparability, because the item wording and scale differ, so switching usually means restarting your trend. Plan the change for the start of a measurement year rather than mid-cycle, and get in writing what data you can export before you sign.

No, and the distinction decides which one you should buy. Engagement vendors measure sentiment among employees over time. Organizational assessment tools score several dimensions of how the organization works, culture and engagement being only one of them, alongside process maturity, digital maturity, skills gaps and compliance readiness. If your suspicion is that the problem is not really morale, an engagement platform will not find it.

Four things buyers routinely leave out: the exact benchmark population you will be compared against and its sample size, the per-employee and total cost at your headcount for a three year term, the uplift cap at renewal, and what happens to your historical data if you leave. Feature lists are easy to answer and rarely differentiate. Those four are the ones that change the value of the contract.

It depends on what else you are buying. If you want engagement alongside performance reviews and goals, the modular platforms that publish per-seat rates are usually the efficient choice. If you want listening as a standalone discipline with advisory support, the quote-only specialists are built for that and priced accordingly. If you want a broader read on the organization rather than sentiment alone, an engagement vendor is the wrong category.
