Workday Peakon pricing: what Peakon costs, how Workday licenses it, and the 3-year term

Workday does not publish a US price for Peakon Employee Voice, and every dollar figure on a review site or negotiation blog is somebody's estimate. There is one document most buyers never see: Workday's own subscription pricing filing for the UK government G-Cloud 14 framework, which shows how Peakon is metered, how long the term runs and what is left out of the fee. Below is what that filing and Workday's own Peakon pages state, read on 10 September 2026, and what it means for a US budget.

DIRECT ANSWER

Workday Peakon pricing is not published for US buyers. Peakon Employee Voice is sold through Workday sales and quoted per organization. The only Workday-authored price document we could find is its UK government G-Cloud 14 filing, updated April 2026, which prices Peakon per employee per year on a sliding scale: £50.10 per employee per year in the 600 to 1,000 employee band, falling to £14.58 above 50,000 employees. Those are UK public sector framework rates in pounds sterling, which Workday says are for guidance and reference only. They are not a US list price and we do not convert them. What carries across is the structure. The same filing states that pricing assumes a 3-year subscription term, that the multi-year commitment is based on the entire current employee population for the whole term, that added employees cost an additional per-headcount fee, and that deployment, training and education services are not included in the subscription and are ordered separately. Workday's marketplace listing adds that no free trial is available and that Peakon can be used standalone or extended with Workday Human Capital Management. So the number to budget is your full headcount, times a per-employee annual rate you negotiate, times three years, plus a deployment package. Assessmentcloud is not a Peakon replacement and does not claim to be one. Peakon is a continuous listening platform; this platform scores five organizational dimensions, culture and engagement (CU-01), process maturity (PR-02), digital maturity (DM-03), skills gaps (SG-04) and compliance readiness (CR-05), into one 0 to 100 report against an industry median. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or reselling Workday.

Go deeper: this dimension works alongside employee engagement survey pricing and Culture Amp pricing, and the guides on peakon vs culture amp and employee engagement software cost show the frameworks behind the scoring.

What Workday's own documents state about Peakon pricing, line by line

Every row below was read on 10 September 2026 from documents Workday itself authored: its G-Cloud 14 subscription pricing document for Workday Peakon Employee Voice, its G-Cloud 14 professional services pricing document for Peakon, its service listing on the UK Digital Marketplace, and the Peakon pages and product documentation on workday.com. The prices are UK public sector framework rates in pounds sterling, and Workday states the document is provided for guidance and reference only. They are not a US quote, US commercial pricing is negotiated privately, and we have not converted currency. Nothing here comes from a reseller, a negotiation consultancy or a review aggregator.

Line item What Workday states Figure in Workday's filing What it means for a US buyer
600 to 1,000 employees Lowest band listed and the highest per-employee rate £50.10 per employee per year No band below 600 employees appears in the filing, so smaller companies have no reference rate at all
1,001 to 1,500 employees Second band £40.08 per employee per year About 20 percent below the first band
1,501 to 3,500 employees Third band £33.74 per employee per year Where most mid-market deals would sit
3,501 to 10,000 employees Fourth band £28.68 per employee per year Large enterprise territory
10,001 to 25,000 employees Fifth band £23.17 per employee per year Volume pricing is doing most of the work here
25,001 to 50,000 employees Sixth band £18.40 per employee per year Below 40 percent of the first-band rate
50,001 employees and above Top band £14.58 per employee per year The first-band rate is about 3.4 times this one
Subscription term Pricing is based on a 3-year subscription term 3 years Model a three-year total, not an annual one
Headcount commitment Multi-year commitment based on the entire current employee population for the whole term Whole population, full term Added employees cost extra; no reduction mechanism is described
Services Education, training, deployment services and additional tenants are not included in subscription fees Separate order forms Budget deployment as its own line in year one
Deployment packages Fixed fees: Launch ME Base, Launch LE Base, Your Way Base, Extended and Premium £12,000 to £55,000 Workday reserves the right to charge travel and expenses on top
Adoption packages Fixed fees: Base, Base Plus, Extended and Premium £4,000 to £58,000 Optional and separate from deployment
Free trial Stated on the Digital Marketplace listing Not available Plan for a reference call or a scoped pilot instead
Workday HCM Can be extended with Workday HCM or used as a standalone service Standalone permitted Native HRIS integrations documented for Workday, bob, BambooHR and Personio

Now the part the filing does not spell out, and it is our arithmetic rather than a Workday figure. At the first-band rate, 600 employees comes to £30,060 a year and £90,180 across the 3-year term; 1,000 employees comes to £50,100 a year. Divided by twelve, the first-band rate is about £4.18 per employee per month and the top-band rate about £1.22. Now the boundary problem. If a band rate applied to the whole population, 1,000 employees at £50.10 would cost £50,100 a year while 1,001 employees at £40.08 would cost £40,120, so adding one person would cut the bill by almost £10,000. The same cliff appears at 1,500 (£60,120) against 1,501 (£50,644). The filing does not say which way the bands work, which is exactly why you ask for it in writing if your headcount sits near 1,000, 1,500 or 3,500. None of these totals is a Workday quote, and US pricing will differ. If Peakon is on a shortlist with other quote-only vendors, Culture Amp pricing and Perceptyx pricing set out what each of those discloses, Viva Glint pricing covers the enterprise listening platform that does publish a US rate card, and Peakon vs Culture Amp works through the most common two-way shortlist. For the switch itself, Workday Peakon alternatives compares the fit honestly.

CU-01

What you get

Workday meters Peakon per employee per year, not per month

Several third-party guides quote Peakon in dollars per employee per month. Workday's own filing prices it in GBP per employee per year, by employee band. Before you compare any figure against a Culture Amp, Qualtrics or Lattice quote, check the unit. A per-month estimate set against a per-year rate is off by a factor of twelve, and that mistake is easy to make in a spreadsheet at 11pm before a steering meeting.

Your whole current headcount is committed for all three years

The filing states the pricing is based on a 3-year subscription term and that the multi-year commitment covers the entire current employee population for the whole term. Added employees cost an additional per-headcount fee set in the order form. The filing describes no way to reduce the count. If a reorganization or a divestiture is plausible inside three years, ask for true-down terms in writing before you sign, not at renewal.

Deployment is a separate purchase, and Workday prices it in packages

Education, training and deployment services are excluded from the subscription fee. Workday's G-Cloud 14 professional services document lists fixed-fee deployment packages from £12,000 (Launch ME Base) to £55,000 (Your Way Premium), optional adoption packages from £4,000 to £58,000, and states that travel and expenses may be charged on top. Treat the first-year cost as subscription plus deployment, and ask which package your quote assumes.

You do not need Workday HCM to buy Peakon

Workday's marketplace listing says Peakon can be extended with Workday Human Capital Management or used as a standalone service. Workday's product documentation names native HRIS integrations for Workday, bob, BambooHR and Personio, alongside Sapling, Namely, Okta, Azure Active Directory, SAML 2.0, Slack and Microsoft Teams. If you run another HRIS, confirm how employee records will sync before you price the deployment, because that is where the effort sits.

HOW IT WORKS

From setup to scored report

01

Count the population you will commit, not the people who will answer

Peakon is priced on employees, so a 40 percent response rate does not reduce the invoice. Pull the headcount that will sit in the order form, including part-time and hourly staff you intend to survey, and use that as the multiplier. Then work out your cost per completed response separately, because that is the figure your CFO will ask about in year two.

02

Ask which band reading your order form uses

The filing lists a rate per band but does not say whether a band rate applies to your whole population or only to the employees inside each band. The difference is large near a boundary. Ask Workday to state in writing how the rate is applied at your headcount, and whether moving into a new band mid-term changes the rate on the employees you already committed.

03

Price the deployment package next to the subscription

Ask for the deployment and any adoption package on the same quote as the subscription, with travel and expenses stated. Workday's framework documents price these as fixed fees in five deployment and four adoption tiers, so there is a real menu to negotiate against rather than an open-ended services estimate.

04

Decide whether you need continuous listening or a diagnosis first

If you want always-on listening, attrition prediction and manager dashboards running for three years, that is what Peakon sells, and this page should end with you requesting a quote. If what you need first is a benchmarked read on where the organization stands across culture, process, technology, skills and compliance, that is a different instrument, and it is usually worth having before you commit a full headcount for three years.

DIAGNOSTIC INPUT, NOT A CERTIFIED AUDIT.

Assessmentcloud scores tell you how ready you are and what to fix. They do not certify you against SOC 2, ISO 27001, or any legal framework, and we never claim they do. Only an accredited auditor can certify you. Run the diagnostic first, walk into the audit without surprises, and spend auditor hours on certification instead of discovery.

FAQ

Questions about workday peakon pricing

Workday does not publish a US price for Peakon Employee Voice; it is quoted per organization. Workday's own UK G-Cloud 14 filing prices it per employee per year, from £50.10 in the 600 to 1,000 employee band down to £14.58 above 50,000 employees, on a 3-year term. Those are UK public sector framework rates, not US list prices, and deployment is charged separately.

Yes. Workday's filing prices Peakon per employee per year by headcount band, and states that the multi-year commitment is based on your entire current employee population for the whole term. You pay for the employees in the order form, not the ones who answer surveys, so a low response rate raises your real cost per response without changing the invoice.

No. Workday's service listing on the UK Digital Marketplace states that a free trial is not available for Workday Peakon Employee Voice. Workday offers demos, including a recorded product demo on its Peakon page, and a sales conversation. If you need proof before committing a full headcount for three years, ask for customer references in your industry and headcount band.

Yes. Workday's marketplace listing states Peakon can be extended with Workday Human Capital Management or used as a standalone service. Workday's documentation lists native HRIS integrations for Workday, bob, BambooHR and Personio, plus Sapling and Namely, SSO through Okta, Azure Active Directory or SAML 2.0, and Slack and Microsoft Teams. Other HRIS platforms need their sync scoped during deployment.

Workday's G-Cloud 14 pricing for Peakon is based on a 3-year subscription term, with the commitment covering the entire current employee population for the whole term. That filing is for UK public sector buyers, so US terms are negotiated, but it is the only term length Workday has put in writing for Peakon. Model a three-year total when you compare vendors.

Yes, as a separate purchase. Workday's filing states that education, training and deployment services are not included in subscription fees. Its professional services document lists fixed-fee Peakon deployment packages from £12,000 to £55,000 and adoption packages from £4,000 to £58,000 on the UK framework, with travel and expenses chargeable on top. Ask for the package on the same quote.

Added employees are charged an additional per-headcount cost set out in the order form, according to Workday's filing. The filing describes no mechanism for reducing the committed count during the term. If layoffs, a divestiture or seasonal swings are realistic, negotiate true-down rights and the rate for added employees before signing rather than at renewal.

Workday's Peakon datasheet states that feedback can be collected in over 60 languages, with mobile and kiosk options for deskless employees and managers. Standard question sets cover engagement, health and well-being, diversity and inclusion, and transformation and change, and custom questions can be added. Confirm the language list for your locations during the sales process.

It can be, but you will be negotiating blind. Workday's framework filing lists no band below 600 employees, so there is no reference rate at all, and the 3-year term with the full population committed weighs more heavily on a smaller budget. A company of 200 should compare Peakon with vendors that publish rates and shorter terms before booking a demo.
