Glint vs Peakon pricing is one published US rate against none. Microsoft lists Viva Glint at $2.00 per user a month, paid yearly, on top of a qualifying Microsoft 365 or Office 365 license. Workday publishes no US price for Peakon Employee Voice and quotes each deal, and the only price document Workday has put in writing, a UK public sector filing, assumes a three-year term on your full headcount. By our arithmetic, Glint costs $14,400 a year at 600 employees and $36,000 at 1,500. Peakon's number you only get from Workday, but its contract shape is published, and for most buyers the shape decides more than the rate.
Microsoft's Viva pricing page was read on 9 October 2026. Workday's Peakon terms come from its G-Cloud 14 filing on the UK Digital Marketplace, updated April 2026, which we covered line by line on our Workday Peakon pricing page. Every total below is our multiplication of a published rate, and the article says so each time. Neither vendor is affiliated with us.
Glint vs Peakon pricing at 600, 1,500 and 5,000 employees
We picked these three sizes because Workday's filing has no band below 600 employees, so 600 is the smallest company for which any Peakon reference exists. The Glint rows are Microsoft's list rate times headcount times twelve. The Peakon rows are Workday's UK public sector rates, in pounds, times headcount. Those are framework rates Workday says are for guidance only. They are not a US list price and we do not turn them into dollars.
| Headcount | Viva Glint, a year (our arithmetic) | Viva Glint, three years | Workday Peakon US price | Peakon UK framework band and annual total, in pounds (our arithmetic) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 600 employees | $14,400 | $43,200 | Quote only | £50.10 per employee a year, £30,060 |
| 1,500 employees | $36,000 | $108,000 | Quote only | £40.08 per employee a year, £60,120 |
| 5,000 employees | $120,000 | $360,000 | Quote only | £28.68 per employee a year, £143,400 |
| Term | Annual, paid yearly | Filing assumes a three-year term on the whole current employee population | ||
| Setup | No separate deployment fee on Microsoft's pricing page | Deployment packages ordered separately, £12,000 to £55,000 on the UK framework | ||
Read the pound column for structure, not as a forecast of your invoice. What it shows is a sliding per-head rate that falls as headcount rises, and a starting rate per employee that is high next to Glint's $24 a year. A US quote can land anywhere, but it will almost certainly come with the same term and headcount commitment, so ask for both in the first call.
Which is cheaper, Glint or Peakon?
Viva Glint is the cheaper published option at $2.00 per user a month, which is $24 per employee a year, but only if you already pay for a qualifying Microsoft 365 plan. Workday Peakon publishes no US price, so nobody outside a sales call can prove it costs more. What its own filing shows is a three-year commitment on the full headcount plus a paid deployment package, and that alone usually makes year one heavier.
The fair comparison is three years, all in. For Glint that means the Viva license for every user who takes or builds a survey, plus any partner fees if you want outside help running the program. For Peakon it means the subscription for the whole committed headcount across the term, the deployment package, any adoption package, and the per-head rate for employees you add along the way.
Do I need Microsoft 365 for Viva Glint, or Workday HCM for Peakon?
Glint needs Microsoft; Peakon does not need Workday. Microsoft's pricing page says Viva requires a license for a qualifying Microsoft 365, Office 365 or SharePoint plan, and Glint is not included in any of them, E5 included. Workday's marketplace listing says Peakon can be used as a standalone service or extended with Workday Human Capital Management.
That asymmetry is the real fork in the road. A company on Google Workspace that wants Glint is buying a Microsoft relationship first. A company on Workday HCM gets a native connection with Peakon, but a company on BambooHR, HiBob or Personio can run Peakon too, because Workday documents integrations for those systems as well.
What does each contract commit you to?
| Term | Viva Glint | Workday Peakon |
|---|---|---|
| Published price | $2.00 per user a month, paid yearly | None for US buyers. Quoted per organization |
| Bundles | Also inside Viva Workplace Analytics and Employee Feedback at $6.00 and Viva Suite at $12.00, both annual commitments | Sold alone or alongside Workday HCM |
| Contract length | Annual | UK filing assumes three years |
| Headcount committed | Licensed users; Microsoft Learn says active licenses should be at least the number of active users in Glint | The entire current employee population for the whole term, with added employees charged per head |
| Seat minimum | Microsoft's licensing FAQ names a 50-user minimum, and an older answer on the same page says 100 | No band below 600 employees in the filing |
| Where results live | Microsoft Teams and Viva, administered with your Microsoft estate | Peakon app, with Slack, Teams and HRIS integrations |
The headcount line is the one that bites after a reorganization. Peakon's filing describes how added employees are charged and describes no way to reduce the committed count mid-term. If a divestiture, a layoff or a seasonal workforce is realistic in the next three years, negotiate true-down rights before you sign. A three-year renewal date is also easy to lose. Teams that already keep their vendor terms in contract renewal tracking software see the notice window coming months out; everyone else tends to find it when the auto-renewal invoice arrives.
Glint vs Peakon, who each one suits
Glint suits a US company of 200 to 5,000 people already standardized on Microsoft 365 and Teams, where IT can add Viva through the existing agreement and HR wants results to sit where managers already work. The annual term keeps the exit door open, and at $24 a head a year it is one of the lowest published rates anywhere in employee listening.
Peakon suits a company of 600 or more, often already on Workday HCM, that wants continuous listening wired into the HR system of record and is comfortable committing the full headcount for three years. Workday's datasheet cites collection in over 60 languages, with mobile and kiosk options for deskless staff, which matters for manufacturing, retail and healthcare employers.
Neither suits a buyer who is not yet sure engagement is the problem. Both tools measure how employees feel. Neither scores whether processes, digital tools, skills coverage or compliance posture are what drags engagement down in the first place.
How much does Viva Glint cost per employee?
Viva Glint costs $2.00 per user per month, which is $24 per employee a year, paid yearly as a standalone add-on. It also sits inside Viva Workplace Analytics and Employee Feedback at $6.00 per user a month and the Viva Suite at $12.00. A qualifying Microsoft 365 or Office 365 license is required underneath, and it is not included in any Microsoft 365 plan.

How much does Workday Peakon cost?
Workday does not publish a US price for Peakon Employee Voice; every deal is quoted. Its UK G-Cloud 14 filing prices Peakon per employee per year on a sliding scale, from £50.10 in the 600 to 1,000 band down to £14.58 above 50,000 employees, on a three-year term with deployment ordered separately. Those are UK public sector framework rates, not US list prices.

What to ask before you sign either one
- The all-in three-year total at your exact headcount, with deployment, adoption and partner fees on the same page.
- For Glint, which Microsoft line the survey sits on ($2.00, $6.00 or $12.00) and whether your current agreement already includes it.
- For Peakon, the committed headcount, the rate for added employees, and whether you can reduce the count during the term.
- The renewal uplift cap and the notice window, in writing.
- Who runs survey design and results readouts: your team, the vendor or a paid partner.
Glint and Peakon are two of eleven names that usually end up on this shortlist. Our Glint competitors page prices all of them at 300 employees, including Culture Amp, Qualtrics, Lattice, 15Five and Leapsome, and marks which ones publish nothing.
Score the company before you commit three years
A listening contract is a bet that engagement is where the company is losing performance. Before you place it, run one AssessmentCloud diagnostic. It scores five dimensions, culture and engagement, process maturity, digital maturity, skills gaps and compliance readiness, into a single 0 to 100 report against an industry median. If culture and engagement comes out weakest, buy Glint or Peakon with confidence. If process or digital maturity scores lower, a survey program will measure the symptom. Plans are a flat monthly price with no per-employee meter, listed on our pricing page.
