Culture Amp vs Glint Pricing at 100, 500 and 2,000 Staff

OCTOBER 2026 · 8 MIN READ · BY THE ASSESSMENTCLOUD TEAM

Culture Amp vs Glint comes down to one published number against none. Microsoft lists Viva Glint at $2.00 per user a month, paid yearly, with a 50-seat minimum and a Microsoft 365 enterprise subscription required. Culture Amp publishes no price at all: it quotes on employee count, product and service tier, billed annually. By our arithmetic, Glint is $2,400 a year at 100 employees, $12,000 at 500 and $48,000 at 2,000. What Culture Amp charges at those sizes you only learn from a quote, but its pricing page does tell you which service band each headcount falls into, and that is where the comparison gets useful.

Both pages were read at source on 8 October 2026: microsoft.com/microsoft-viva/pricing and cultureamp.com/pricing. Neither vendor is affiliated with us. Every dollar total below is our multiplication of Microsoft's rate, and the article says so each time. We do not reprint the per-employee estimates for Culture Amp that circulate on review and procurement sites, because none of them appear on Culture Amp's own pages and they disagree with each other by a wide margin.

Three cards comparing year-one list cost of Viva Glint at 100, 500 and 2,000 employees, $2,400, $12,000 and $48,000 standalone, with Culture Amp shown as quote only and the service band each headcount falls into
Our arithmetic on Microsoft's published Glint rate, plus Culture Amp's published service bands. Not vendor quotes.

Culture Amp vs Glint pricing at 100, 500 and 2,000 employees

The Glint rows are Microsoft's list rate times headcount times twelve. The Culture Amp rows are what its pricing page says each size band receives. The price itself is the part you have to ask for.

The bundle column matters because many Microsoft shops never buy Glint alone. The $6.00 plan adds Viva Insights and Viva Pulse, and the full Viva Suite at $12.00 adds Viva Learning and the communications apps on top. If your IT team is already talking to Microsoft about Viva, ask which of the three lines the engagement survey will sit on, because it triples the per-user cost between the first and second.

Which is cheaper, Culture Amp or Glint?

Viva Glint is the cheaper published option, at $2.00 per user a month, but only for organizations that already hold a Microsoft 365 enterprise subscription and license at least 50 seats. Culture Amp publishes no figure, so nobody outside a sales conversation can say it costs more. What you can say is that Glint's list price is among the lowest printed anywhere in this category.

Low list price does not settle it. Culture Amp's quote includes a service tier that grows with your headcount, and its Engage product carries things Glint buyers often add separately: ready-to-use surveys, AI comment summaries, onboarding and offboarding surveys, a DEI survey, retention insights and benchmarking. Ask Culture Amp for the all-in annual figure with the service tier itemized, and then set Glint's number next to it with any consulting or partner fees you would need to run Glint well.

Is Viva Glint included in Microsoft 365?

No. Viva Glint is not included in any Microsoft 365 or Office 365 plan, E5 included. Microsoft's service description lists it as a standalone SKU or part of the Viva Suite, and its pricing page tells buyers to add Viva to an existing Microsoft 365 plan through their Microsoft representative. Budget it as its own line on top of the agreement you already pay.

The seat minimum needs a second look too. Microsoft's licensing FAQ says Viva Glint needs a minimum of 50 licensed users to initiate the service, while an older answer on the same FAQ page still says 100, and Viva Suite and Glint licenses both count toward it. Microsoft Learn adds the rule that decides the bill: the total number of active licenses should be greater than or equal to the number of active users in Glint. Ask your Microsoft representative to confirm the minimum in writing.

That separate line is easy to lose at renewal, because it rides on the Microsoft enterprise agreement rather than an HR software contract. Finance teams that already use SaaS spend tracking to watch cloud and software lines catch the Glint seats before the annual true-up; everyone else tends to find them when the Microsoft invoice arrives.

Culture Amp is only one of the names that end up next to Glint. Our Glint competitors sheet prices eleven of them at 300 employees, and if Workday is the other finalist, Glint vs Peakon pricing covers that pair.

Glint vs Culture Amp, what the money buys

Both are engagement survey platforms, and both are credible. The difference is where each one lives and what it bundles.

Culture Amp's own comparison page argues that the Microsoft Viva Suite is a series of independent apps that do not share data, while its own engagement and performance data sit in one place. That is a vendor's marketing claim, so test it in the demo: ask each one to show a manager's engagement results next to that manager's review data on one screen.

Glint vs Culture Amp for a Microsoft 365 company

Pick Glint if your organization is committed to Microsoft, already holds an enterprise agreement, and wants a survey program that runs inside Teams at a known per-user price. Pick Culture Amp if you want engagement and performance in one vendor, expect to lean on its people science team, or run a mixed Slack and Teams environment. Below 50 employees, Glint's seat minimum means you pay for 50 anyway, $1,200 a year by our arithmetic.

For a 500-person company the math is simple on one side and a negotiation on the other. Glint at $12,000 a year is the number to beat. When the Culture Amp quote arrives, check three things: whether the figure covers Engage only or Engage plus Perform, which service band it was priced on, and whether it assumes a multi-year term. Our Culture Amp pricing page lists what Culture Amp does and does not publish, and Viva Glint pricing walks through every Microsoft line that can carry the survey.

How to get two quotes you can compare

  1. Fix the headcount you will license. Glint is per user; Culture Amp prices on employee count. Use the same number in both requests. On the Microsoft side, Microsoft Learn says your active licenses must at least match the active users in Glint, so license everyone you plan to survey.
  2. Name the product scope. Engagement surveys only, or surveys plus performance reviews. A Culture Amp quote for Engage and Perform against a Glint quote for surveys alone is not a comparison.
  3. Ask for the service tier as a separate line. Culture Amp's bands change what you get at 200 and 1,000 employees. Know which band you are in and what it costs.
  4. Price the Microsoft prerequisite honestly. If you do not already hold a Microsoft 365 enterprise subscription, Glint's real cost includes one.
  5. Compare against a third published card. Lattice, 15Five and Leapsome all print engagement rates. Our Culture Amp competitors page puts ten of them on one sheet with their published rates and minimums.

If Microsoft Viva Glint is also being weighed against a third enterprise vendor, our Glint vs Qualtrics pricing breakdown runs the same arithmetic from 50 to 3,000 seats, and the Culture Amp vs Gallup Q12 vs Viva Glint comparison adds the Q12 survey to the shortlist.

Where AssessmentCloud fits, and where it does not

AssessmentCloud is not a replacement for either platform and we do not claim to be one. Culture Amp and Glint run continuous employee listening programs. We answer a narrower buying question: how healthy is the organization across culture and engagement, process maturity, digital maturity, skills gaps and compliance readiness, scored 0 to 100 against an industry median in one report, with a prioritized action plan.

That matters for one kind of buyer in particular. If the real need is a once-a-quarter organizational diagnostic rather than a year-round listening program, a per-user contract is the wrong shape of purchase. Our plans are flat for the whole company: Team $49 a month, Business $119 and Consultancy $279, half that billed yearly, with no seat count and no sales cycle. Start with the employee engagement survey pricing comparison to see where a flat plan beats a per-user one, or open our pricing and run your first assessment today.
