Qualtrics pricing and cost: how much Qualtrics costs, and the only price they publish

Search for Qualtrics pricing and you will find a dozen articles quoting confident dollar ranges. Almost none of those numbers appear anywhere on a Qualtrics page. What Qualtrics does publish, and what those articles skip, is the metric each product line is billed on, which is the thing that actually determines the size of your quote. This page separates the two: what Qualtrics states in its own words, checked on 6 September 2026, and what is third-party guesswork.

DIRECT ANSWER

Qualtrics publishes exactly one price. On its own free account comparison page, Strategic Research is listed at $420 per month, billed annually at $5,040. Every other product, all four Customer Experience packages, both Employee Experience packages, and Brand, carries a Request Pricing button and no figure at all. That was still the case on 6 September 2026. So the honest answer to how much Qualtrics costs is that Qualtrics will not tell you before a call, and any specific dollar range you read elsewhere is somebody else's estimate rather than a published rate. What Qualtrics does put in writing is the pricing metric behind each line, and that is more useful than a fake average. Customer Experience products are metered on interactions. Employee Experience products are priced, in Qualtrics own words, "based on employee count". Strategic Research is metered on interactions including the number of survey responses and minutes of video feedback. Brand is metered on interactions including brand tracking responses and social mentions. Qualtrics defines an interaction in its pricing FAQ as a data record collected or processed by Qualtrics to deliver insights, and says the blended rate differs by interaction type for each product SKU. One more published detail changes how you compare quotes: Qualtrics states that within every product its technology is included for an unlimited number of users. Qualtrics is therefore not a per seat product, so setting a Qualtrics quote next to a $4 a seat line from a per seat vendor compares two different units. Convert both to an annual total before you decide anything. Assessmentcloud is not a Qualtrics replacement and does not claim to be one. Qualtrics is an enterprise experience management platform spanning customer, employee and market research programs; this platform scores five organizational dimensions, culture and engagement (CU-01), process maturity (PR-02), digital maturity (DM-03), skills gaps (SG-04) and compliance readiness (CR-05), into one 0 to 100 report against an industry median. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or reselling Qualtrics.

Go deeper: this dimension works alongside Qualtrics vs Perceptyx and Culture Amp vs Qualtrics, and the guides on employee engagement software cost and assessment software cost per response show the frameworks behind the scoring.

What Qualtrics actually publishes, product line by product line

Every entry in the price and metric columns below was read off qualtrics.com/pricing and the Qualtrics free account comparison page on 6 September 2026. Where Qualtrics prints no figure, the table says so rather than substituting an estimate from somewhere else. The metric wording is Qualtrics own. Packaging changes and negotiated rates differ from anything published, so use this to prepare for the quote rather than to predict it.

Qualtrics product line What it covers Published price (checked 6 September 2026) Stated pricing metric
Employee Experience Employee engagement, pulse, employee research, onboarding and exit, retention analytics, continuous listening Not published, Request Pricing Based on employee count
Employee Experience, talent and development Candidate experience management, 360 development, employee journeys from hire to exit Not published, Request Pricing Based on employee count
Customer Experience, all four packages Surveys, website and app feedback, digital experience analytics, contact centre analytics, quality management, agent coaching, reputation management, location experience Not published, Request Pricing Interactions
Strategic Research Strategic market research, product research, user experience research, video feedback, 23 question types, StatsIQ, crosstabs, dashboards $420 per month, $5,040 per year Interactions including survey responses and minutes of video feedback
Brand Brand and communication research, brand tracking Not published, Request Pricing Interactions including brand tracking responses and social mentions
Qualtrics Surveys free account 500 responses, 3 active surveys, 30 questions per survey, 8 question types, one language, reports only, no card required Free Capped by response and survey count rather than metered
Users Applies within every product Included Qualtrics states its technology is included for an unlimited number of users
Industry variation Applies across the platform Not published Qualtrics states plans may differ based on industry security requirements and product availability

Two things follow from that table and neither is obvious from the articles ranking above it. First, because users are unlimited and the meter is headcount or interactions, Qualtrics quotes cannot be compared line for line against per seat vendors; you have to convert both sides to an annual total. Second, the single published Qualtrics figure belongs to a market research SKU, so it tells you nothing about an employee engagement quote, and anyone using it as a proxy is guessing. If you are building a shortlist rather than a budget, Qualtrics vs Perceptyx and Culture Amp vs Qualtrics take the comparison apart directly. For vendors that do print a card, Lattice pricing lists six per seat rates and a $4,000 annual minimum and Viva Glint pricing covers the cheapest published enterprise rate in the category, while Culture Amp pricing and Perceptyx pricing set out exactly how little each discloses. Employee engagement survey vendors compares the whole field on which ones publish and which only quote.

What you get

The metric matters more than the rate you cannot see

Knowing that Employee Experience is billed on employee count and Customer Experience on interactions tells you which number to forecast before the first call. An EX program for 2,000 staff has a predictable cost driver that barely moves with survey frequency. A CX program metered on interactions moves with every response, every call record and every piece of feedback you process, so the same platform can behave like a fixed cost in one department and a variable one in another. Budget them separately.

Unlimited users is a real advantage, and it breaks per seat comparisons

Qualtrics states that within every product, its technology is included for an unlimited number of users. For an organization that wants two hundred managers reading dashboards, that removes a cost line most competitors charge for. It also means you cannot honestly compare a Qualtrics quote to a per seat card without converting. Take the Qualtrics annual figure, take the competitor rate multiplied by seats and months, and compare the two annual totals rather than the two headline numbers.

Only one Qualtrics price is public, and it is a research SKU

Strategic Research at $420 a month, or $5,040 a year, is the only figure Qualtrics prints. It is a market research product, not an employee engagement one, so it is not a proxy for what an EX program costs. It is still worth knowing, because it is the one Qualtrics number you can hold up in a negotiation and say you read it on their own site. Everything above it, including the whole employee experience line, is quoted.

Treat the ranges circulating online as unverified

Several guides ranking for this query state medians and ranges running from five figures to six. None of them is on a Qualtrics page. Some come from spend aggregators reporting contracts they have seen, which is a legitimate thing to publish but is not a rate card, and none of it is binding on your deal. We are not going to reprint those numbers as though Qualtrics published them. When you build a business case, cite the metric and the one published SKU, and label anything else as an estimate so nobody in finance mistakes it for a quote.

HOW IT WORKS

From setup to scored report

01

Work out which product line you are actually buying

Qualtrics sells three families and they are priced on different metrics. If HR is running engagement, lifecycle and 360 programs, you are in Employee Experience, billed on employee count. If a CX or contact centre team is buying, you are on interactions. If insights or research is buying, you are on responses and video minutes. Getting this wrong is the fastest way to receive a quote that looks nothing like the one your peer company described.

02

Forecast your metric before you take the call

Qualtrics says its pricing is based on metrics you can forecast, and that you pay for planned usage. Take that literally. For EX, write down your headcount and your expected growth over the contract term. For CX, estimate annual interactions by channel, because a survey response, a call record and a piece of digital feedback are all interactions under different blended rates. Walking in with those figures is what stops the quote being sized by the seller.

03

Ask for the interaction definition applied to your SKUs in writing

The published definition of an interaction is broad by design: a data record collected or processed by Qualtrics to deliver insights. Qualtrics also says different interaction types are consumed under different products at different blended rates. Before signing, get the specific interaction types and rates for the SKUs on your order form written into the contract, along with what happens if you exceed the planned volume. Overage terms are where an interaction-metered contract usually surprises people.

04

Separate the continuous program from the one off diagnosis

If you need an always on enterprise listening program across customers, employees and markets with the analytics stack behind it, that is what Qualtrics sells and this page should end with you requesting a quote. If what you actually need is a benchmarked read on where the organization stands right now, across culture, process, technology, skills and compliance, that is a smaller and much cheaper instrument, and it is usually the thing that tells you whether an enterprise platform is worth committing to for three years.

DIAGNOSTIC INPUT, NOT A CERTIFIED AUDIT.

Assessmentcloud scores tell you how ready you are and what to fix. They do not certify you against SOC 2, ISO 27001, or any legal framework, and we never claim they do. Only an accredited auditor can certify you. Run the diagnostic first, walk into the audit without surprises, and spend auditor hours on certification instead of discovery.

FAQ

Questions about qualtrics pricing

Qualtrics publishes one price: Strategic Research at $420 a month, billed annually at $5,040. Every other product, including the entire Employee Experience and Customer Experience lines, is quoted rather than listed. Qualtrics states that Employee Experience is priced based on employee count and Customer Experience on interactions, so your quote is sized by those two metrics rather than by a seat count.

Only partly. As of 6 September 2026 the qualtrics.com pricing page shows a Request Pricing button against every Customer Experience, Employee Experience and Brand product, with no dollar figures anywhere on it. The one exception sits on the free account page, where Strategic Research is listed at $420 a month. Qualtrics does publish the pricing metric for each product line, which is the more useful disclosure.

No. Qualtrics states that within every product, its leading AI and technology is included for an unlimited number of users. Pricing is driven by employee count for Employee Experience products and by interactions for Customer Experience and research products. That makes a direct comparison against a per seat vendor misleading unless you convert both to an annual total first.

Qualtrics defines an interaction in its own pricing FAQ as a data record collected or processed by Qualtrics to deliver insights and drive actions. It also states that different interaction types are consumed under different products, and that it sets blended rates per interaction type for each product SKU. Get the specific interaction types and rates for your order form written into the contract.

Based on employee count, in Qualtrics own words. Both Employee Experience products on the pricing page carry that metric, covering engagement, pulse, employee research, onboarding and exit, candidate experience, 360 development and retention analytics. No per employee rate is published, so headcount is the input you should forecast before requesting a quote rather than survey volume.

Yes, and it is genuinely capped rather than trial limited. The Qualtrics free account allows 500 responses in total, three active surveys, 30 questions per survey, 8 question types and one language, with reports rather than dashboards and no credit card or expiry. It is enough to test the survey builder. It is not enough to run an employee engagement program, which is the point at which the quoted products begin.

Because none of them come from Qualtrics. The figures circulating in comparison guides are third party estimates, some drawn from spend aggregators reporting contracts they have observed. Those can be informative but they are not a rate card and they are not binding on your negotiation. Qualtrics itself publishes only the Strategic Research price and the metric behind each line, which is why this page prints those and labels everything else as unverified.

Qualtrics says it can. Its pricing FAQ states that pricing and plans may differ based on industry security requirements and product availability. In practice that means a regulated buyer needing specific certifications, data residency or deployment controls should raise those requirements early, because they can move both the price and which SKUs are available to you before any volume discussion starts.
