WHERE VIVA GLINT IS STRONG

Viva Glint, formerly Glint and now a Microsoft Viva app, is a serious enterprise engagement and experience survey platform. Its survey science is strong, its benchmark database is large, and its manager action-planning dashboards are built for rolling insight out across thousands of people. If your company already runs on Microsoft 365 and Teams, Glint sits right inside that stack, and the integration is a real advantage. For a large enterprise standardized on Microsoft that wants engagement analytics next to the rest of Viva, it is a natural fit.

If your company runs on Microsoft 365 and you want engagement surveys inside the Viva suite, Viva Glint is the better pick.

WHERE ASSESSMENTCLOUD FITS

Two things narrow the fit. First, scope: Glint measures engagement and experience, and that is all; it does not score your process maturity, digital readiness, skills gaps, or compliance readiness, so leadership still lacks a whole-company picture. Second, the Microsoft dependency: Glint is sold as a Viva app that requires an underlying Microsoft 365 license, published by Microsoft at $2.00 per user a month standalone, $6.00 inside the Viva Workplace Analytics and Employee Feedback plan and $12.00 in the full Viva Suite, all paid yearly, with enterprise agreements negotiated on top. Microsoft own service description marks every Glint feature as available only as a standalone SKU or as part of the Viva Suite, so no Microsoft 365 or Office 365 plan includes it, E5 included, and the Glint line is additive to whatever you already pay Microsoft. Off Microsoft 365, most of that value does not travel, and reviewers note the transition from LinkedIn to Microsoft Viva has brought UI and roadmap churn. Assessmentcloud takes the independent lane: it runs satisfaction, experience, engagement, and pulse surveys, scores each against the industry median, and folds them into one whole-company report alongside process, digital, skills, and compliance, with no Microsoft license required and flat published pricing from $49 a month. Responses are anonymous for groups of 5 or more, where Glint feedback is confidential rather than fully anonymous. The report is diagnostic input, not a certified audit.
