Outgrow Pricing for Consultants: What Assessments Cost

SEPTEMBER 2026 · 7 MIN READ · BY THE ASSESSMENTCLOUD TEAM

Outgrow costs $14, $25, $95 or $600 a month billed annually for its Freelancer, Freelancer Pro, Essentials and Business plans, or $22, $45, $115 and $720 month to month. Every plan can build an assessment. The catch for a consultant is further down the table: removing Outgrow branding, hosting on your own domain and the Create a PDF feature all sit in Business, the $600 a month plan. Below that, you are running a scored assessment under someone else's name.

Every figure here was read on 26 September 2026 from outgrow.co/pricing, with the plan cards confirmed by screenshot rather than by page source alone, because Outgrow's page source still carries older plans that are not shown to visitors. Billing rules come from Outgrow's own FAQ and help center. We are not affiliated with Outgrow and do not resell it. Where a number is our arithmetic, the sentence says so.

Outgrow pricing at a glance

Outgrow is an interactive content builder. Assessments are one of its content types, next to calculators, outcome quizzes, polls, chatbots, forms and product recommendations. It meters you on four things: how many content pieces you publish, how many leads they capture a year, how many team members log in, and which features are unlocked.

PlanBilled annuallyMonth to monthLeads a yearContent piecesUsers
Freelancer (limited)$14 a month$22 a month3,00051
Freelancer Pro$25 a month$45 a month12,00071
Essentials$95 a month$115 a month90,000Unlimited3
Business$600 a month$720 a month600,000Unlimited10

Outgrow advertises savings of up to 44% on annual billing. Its FAQ says the standard options are monthly or annual, paid up front for the term, and that cancellations take effect at the end of the committed term. There is a 7-day free trial that does not ask for a credit card, and a done-for-you build service that starts at $250 per content piece.

Which Outgrow plan a consultant actually needs

The lead limits look generous for a consulting practice. A firm that runs a readiness assessment as a lead magnet will not hit 3,000 leads a year on the cheapest plan, and 90,000 on Essentials is far beyond most practices. Volume is not what pushes you up the table. Three other rows do.

What a consultant needsWhere Outgrow's table puts it
An assessment content typeEvery plan, including Freelancer
Scoring logic and formulasStandard on Freelancer, full access from Freelancer Pro
Your logo and colorsStandard custom branding on every plan
No Outgrow branding at allBusiness (full custom branding). Lower plans read cannot remove Outgrow branding, with one exception through the small business program
Hosting on your own domainBusiness: embed and custom domain via CNAME. Lower plans host on an Outgrow subdomain and embed anywhere
Charts, tables and graphs in resultsNo access on Freelancer. Full access with the SMB offer on Freelancer Pro and Essentials. Full access on Business
Create a PDFListed under Advanced Access to advanced features, which the table grants on Business
Seats for a partner and an analyst1 user on both Freelancer plans, 3 on Essentials, 10 on Business

Read together, the rows split the product in two. Freelancer Pro and Essentials are good lead-capture tools for your own marketing: a scored quiz on your website that collects an email and shows a result. Business is the plan where the assessment can look like it belongs to you from end to end, on your domain, without the vendor's mark, with a PDF. If you plan to put the assessment in front of a paying client as part of an engagement, that difference matters more than the price of any single row.

The small business program is worth asking about. Several cells in Outgrow's table unlock extra features with it, including charts on the mid plans and, on one plan, branding removal. Outgrow does not print the eligibility rules or the price on the pricing page, so ask for both in writing before you plan around it.

What Outgrow costs at three consulting volumes

These totals are our arithmetic from the published annual rates, not figures Outgrow prints.

  • Solo consultant, one lead magnet, Outgrow branding acceptable: Freelancer Pro at $25 a month is $300 a year for 7 content pieces and 12,000 leads.
  • Small firm, three people, several assessments, still on an Outgrow subdomain: Essentials at $95 a month is $1,140 a year.
  • Firm that delivers assessments to clients under its own brand: Business at $600 a month is $7,200 a year, or $8,640 if paid month to month.

The jump from the second line to the third is the real pricing decision. It is roughly $6,000 a year for the white label, the domain and the PDF. That is worth paying if the assessment is part of a product you sell. It is hard to justify if all you need is to remove a logo from a lead magnet.

How Outgrow compares with other assessment builders consultants shortlist

The same job, a branded scored assessment with a report, is priced very differently across the tools consultants usually compare. All figures below are from each vendor's own pricing page, as recorded on our pricing pages for each.

ToolCheapest plan with a PDF reportOwn domainWhat you write yourself
OutgrowBusiness, $600 a month billed annuallyBusinessQuestions, scoring and results
ScoreAppBusiness, $99 a month or $75 billed annuallyBusinessQuestions, scoring and results
PointerproReportR, price on requestEnterprise and up, quotedQuestions, scoring and report logic
AssessmentCloud Consultancy$279 a month, $232 billed yearly, exports and shareable client report linksWhite label includedNothing: culture, process, digital maturity and skills frameworks with benchmarks are built in

For a listed price on a PDF, ScoreApp pricing is the cheapest published card in the category, and Pointerpro pricing explains why its report builder is not in the $69 plan. Outgrow's strength is breadth. If you also want ROI calculators, product recommenders and chatbots for your own marketing, one Outgrow subscription covers all of them, and neither of the other two tries.

Whichever builder you choose, the assessment is only as good as the page that hosts it. Before you pay for a higher tier to lift completion rates, it is worth a quick audit of the landing page copy, layout and call to action, because a weak page loses respondents before the first question.

When a frameworks-included platform is the better purchase

Outgrow sells a builder. You bring the methodology: the questions, the weights, the scoring bands and the advice each result gives. That is the right purchase for a consultant with a proprietary model who wants to turn it into a lead magnet.

It is the wrong purchase if what your clients need is a credible diagnosis of their organization this quarter. Writing a defensible culture or process maturity instrument, and building a benchmark to score it against, takes months. Our white label assessment platform for consultants ships that part: four assessment areas scored 0 to 100 against an industry median, separate workspaces for up to 25 clients, multi-company benchmarking and your brand on the report, for $279 a month or $232 a month billed yearly. At the annual rate that is $2,784 a year, against $7,200 for Outgrow Business (our arithmetic). The full card is on the pricing page.

The honest split: if the assessment is marketing, Outgrow or ScoreApp. If the assessment is the deliverable, a platform that already has the frameworks costs less than the time you would spend writing them.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Outgrow cost?

Outgrow costs $14 a month for Freelancer, $25 for Freelancer Pro, $95 for Essentials and $600 for Business when billed annually. Month to month the same plans are $22, $45, $115 and $720. Plans are metered by leads a year, content pieces and users, from 3,000 leads and one user on Freelancer to 600,000 leads and ten users on Business.

Does Outgrow have a free trial?

Yes. Outgrow offers a 7-day free trial without a credit card, after which you add a card and choose a plan. Use the week to build the exact assessment you intend to sell, and check which features in your draft are locked to a higher tier before you commit.

Can you remove Outgrow branding?

On Business, yes: its custom branding row reads full access, including removing Outgrow branding. Lower plans offer standard branding, meaning your logo, colors and font, and the detailed list says Outgrow branding cannot be removed, apart from one plan where the small business program allows it. Confirm eligibility in writing.

Can Outgrow create PDF reports?

Outgrow's feature list includes Create a PDF under advanced features, and the pricing table grants advanced access on the Business plan, $600 a month billed annually. Ask Outgrow to show you a personalized report built from assessment answers before you buy, because the pricing page does not describe how far the PDF can be customized per respondent.

What happens if I exceed my Outgrow lead limit?

According to Outgrow's billing help article, going over your leads or visits limit in a billing period means you are charged for an extra set of leads at your plan's rate. The article is more than two years old, so confirm the current rule and the price of an extra block before a big campaign.

Is Outgrow good for consultants?

It is good for consultants who market with interactive content: calculators, quizzes and scored assessments that capture leads on their own website. It is less suited to delivering branded diagnostics to clients unless you are on Business, because branding removal, your own domain and PDF creation sit there.

What is the best alternative to Outgrow for scored assessments?

For a lead-generation scorecard with a PDF at a published price, ScoreApp Business at $99 a month. For personalized report engines, Pointerpro on its quoted ReportR tier. For ready-made, benchmarked organizational assessments under your own brand, AssessmentCloud Consultancy at $279 a month.
