ScoreApp vs Brilliant Assessments Pricing for Consultants

SEPTEMBER 2026 · 8 MIN READ · BY THE ASSESSMENTCLOUD TEAM

ScoreApp is the cheaper of the two by a wide margin: a consultant who needs branded PDF reports and a custom domain pays $891 a year on ScoreApp Business, against $3,990 a year for Brilliant Assessments Starter. The gap buys something real, though. Brilliant is a report engine with partner portals, white-labeled emails and 360 reports on every plan, while ScoreApp is a scorecard funnel builder priced for marketing volume. Both vendors publish their full price lists, which is rare in this market, so every figure below comes from their own pricing pages, read on 22 September 2026.

We are not affiliated with either company and we do not resell either product. Where a number is our arithmetic rather than a published figure, the sentence says so. Prices are in US dollars. ScoreApp shows yearly prices by default and offers a currency selector; Brilliant states that all prices are in USD.

ScoreApp vs Brilliant Assessments pricing at a glance

The two vendors meter differently, and that difference matters more than the headline rate. ScoreApp sells a monthly response allowance plus a cap on live scorecards and users. Brilliant sells a response allowance too, but gives every plan unlimited users and, on annual plans, counts responses per year instead of per month.

Which is cheaper for a consultant, ScoreApp or Brilliant Assessments?

ScoreApp is cheaper at every volume a solo consultant or small firm is likely to run. Take a common case: branded PDF reports, your own domain and about 150 responses a month across clients. On ScoreApp that is the Business plan at $891 a year. On Brilliant, 150 a month is over the Starter allowance of 100, so the monthly route is Professional at $499 a month; on annual billing, 1,800 responses fit inside Professional's 2,400 a year for $4,990. By our arithmetic that is roughly five and a half times the ScoreApp figure.

The ratio shrinks as you add people. ScoreApp caps Business at 3 users and Pro at 5, and SSO and granular permissions only arrive on Enterprise from $799 a month, which is $9,588 a year by our arithmetic. Brilliant includes unlimited users on every plan and includes SSO from Advanced. A ten-person firm with associates who each need a login is closer to the Brilliant price than the solo case suggests.

How do the response limits compare?

This is where the two models really part ways, and it is the question to settle before price. Consulting volume is lumpy. You might run nothing for six weeks and then send a 400-person staff survey for one client in a single week.

ScoreApp counts responses per calendar month. Its help center says you are notified at 80% and 100% of the allowance, can keep collecting to 120% with the lead data hidden until you upgrade, and after 120% the scorecard stops taking new responses until the next cycle unless you buy extra response blocks or move up. So a 400-response week needs Business, even if the rest of your year sits at 50 a month.

Brilliant's annual plans count responses per year: 1,200 on Starter, 2,400 on Professional, 12,000 on Advanced. A 400-person survey in March simply draws down the annual pool. If your client work arrives in large, irregular batches, an annual pool can suit the shape of the work better than a monthly cap, even at the higher price. If your volume is steady and small, ScoreApp's monthly allowance is the better deal.

What does each one include for white-label client delivery?

Both let you hide the vendor. They differ on how far the white label goes.

ScoreApp lets every paid plan customize branding and remove the powered by ScoreApp logo. A custom domain, multiple result pages and the dynamic PDF report start on Business. There is no partner portal or client workspace on the ScoreApp pricing page, so consultants typically manage each client as a separate scorecard inside one account, which is where the 3, 10 and 30 live-scorecard limits start to bite.

Brilliant lists white-labeled assessments, reports, emails and portals, custom domains and email domains, and organization and partner portal management under the capabilities included in every subscription. It adds individual, cohort and 360 reports, certificates, assessor review and editing, and AI-assisted scoring and feedback. Starter plans carry what Brilliant calls over 95% of all features, with 100% from Advanced. If your business model is licensing your methodology to other consultants, the partner portal is the feature you are paying for, and ScoreApp has no equivalent at any price on its card.

Most client engagements begin before the assessment, with a scoping conversation about what the client thinks is wrong. Consultants who run that step at volume often automate the discovery call and client intake so the assessment starts from a qualified brief rather than a blank form. Either platform then picks up from there.

Is ScoreApp or Brilliant Assessments better for delivering paid client assessments?

Brilliant is built for it and ScoreApp is not, which is the honest reason for the price gap. ScoreApp's own FAQ describes Business as unlocking features essential for scaling lead generation, and its plans are named for sales and growth. It is excellent when the assessment is the top of your funnel: a prospect takes a scorecard, gets a score and a result page, and lands in your CRM.

When the assessment is the thing the client pays for, you want a report that can carry your full methodology, cohort views across a client's teams, and a way to rerun it next quarter. Brilliant does those things. ScoreApp can produce a branded PDF, but it is a results summary for one respondent rather than an organizational report.

What neither of them does is give you the methodology. On both platforms you write every question, every scoring rule and every interpretation band. If you already own a framework you have tested with clients, that is the point. If you do not, the $1,000-and-up build service on Brilliant, or weeks of your own time on either, is the real first cost.

Where a ready-made diagnostic fits instead

There is a third route for consultants whose clients are organizations rather than individuals. AssessmentCloud's Consultancy plan is $279 a month, or $232 a month billed yearly, which is $2,784 a year. It ships finished frameworks for culture and engagement, process maturity, digital maturity, skills gaps and compliance readiness, each scored 0 to 100 against an industry median, puts your logo and colors on the assessments and reports, keeps each client in its own workspace, and benchmarks across your client portfolio. It includes up to 500 respondents a month.

Put against the two cards, it sits between them on price: above ScoreApp Business, below Brilliant Starter on annual billing. It is not a builder, so you cannot load your own proprietary instrument into it the way you can with Brilliant, and it is not a lead-gen funnel with landing pages and split testing the way ScoreApp is. You can compare the three approaches in more depth in our guide to white label assessment software for consultants, or go straight to white label assessments for what the Consultancy plan includes.

Which one should you buy?

Buy ScoreApp if the assessment is marketing: a scorecard that wins discovery calls, qualifies leads and feeds your CRM. Business at $891 a year is the realistic starting point if you want PDFs and your own domain. Our ScoreApp alternatives page covers the cases where it is the wrong tool.

Buy Brilliant Assessments if you own a methodology, sell it as a paid deliverable, and want deep report logic, partner portals or 360 reports under your brand. Budget $3,990 a year at the least, more if your volume passes 1,200 responses a year, plus build time. Our Brilliant Assessments alternatives page sets out where it wins and where it does not.

Buy a ready-made diagnostic if your clients are companies and you want a credible, benchmarked organizational read this week rather than after you have built an instrument. You can see the plans and start now.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Brilliant Assessments cost?

Brilliant Assessments costs $399 a month or $3,990 a year for its Starter plan, according to its own pricing page. Professional is $499 a month or $4,990 a year, and Advanced is $999 a month or $9,990 a year. A small-business plan at $299 a month or $2,990 a year is limited to firms with fewer than 3 employees. Enterprise and Premium plans run from $19,990 to $79,990 a year.

Does ScoreApp include white labeling?

Partly. Every ScoreApp paid plan lets you customize branding and remove the powered by ScoreApp logo, starting with Starter at $39 a month. A custom domain and the dynamic PDF report start on Business at $99 a month. ScoreApp does not list partner portals or client workspaces on its pricing page.

Does Brilliant Assessments have a free trial?

Yes. Brilliant Assessments offers a 14-day free trial from its pricing page, alongside a demo and a pre-recorded walkthrough. ScoreApp takes a different approach: a free tier limited to 1 live scorecard and 10 responses a month, plus a 14-day money-back guarantee on its paid plans.

Is Brilliant Assessments worth the extra cost over ScoreApp?

It is worth it when the assessment is a paid deliverable built on your own methodology and you need cohort, 360 or partner-portal reporting. It is not worth it for lead-generation scorecards, where ScoreApp does the job for a fraction of the price. The deciding question is whether a client pays for the report or the report wins you the client.
