WorkTango does not publish prices. Its pricing page lists three products, Employee Surveys & Insights, Recognition & Rewards, and the Full Employee Experience Platform, and every one of them ends in a Request Pricing button. What the page does state is the frame around the quote: annual cost depends on your employee count, the minimum contract is 12 months, most organizations launch in 4 to 6 weeks, and rewards are billed at cost when employees redeem them. Those four facts decide your year-one number more than any rate a review site guesses at.
Everything below was read on 28 September 2026 from worktango.com/pricing and its FAQ, plus WorkTango's own post on the hidden costs of employee rewards. We are not affiliated with WorkTango and do not resell it. Where a number is our arithmetic, or a published rate from a different vendor, the sentence says so.
WorkTango pricing at a glance
WorkTango sells the survey product and the recognition product separately, or together as one platform. The FAQ is explicit that you do not have to buy both. That matters for the buyer reading this, because most people who search WorkTango pricing are comparing it with engagement survey vendors, and the survey product is the only part of that comparison.
| Product | What WorkTango lists | Published price |
|---|---|---|
| Employee Surveys & Insights | Unlimited surveys, engagement measurement and eNPS, customizable dashboards, survey templates, confidential surveys, Anonymous Conversations, AI recommended actions, survey design experts, people analytics, HRIS integrations, mobile surveys | Request Pricing |
| Recognition & Rewards | Peer-to-peer recognition, rewards marketplace with zero markup, incentives, milestone celebrations, awards and nominations, custom swag, feedback, people directory, budgeting and compliance tools, Slack and Teams, HRIS, SSO and health integrations, mobile app | Request Pricing |
| Full Employee Experience Platform | Both of the above plus holistic analytics, leadership dashboards and volume discount pricing | Request Pricing |
So there is no list rate to budget from, and no self-serve checkout. The route to a number is a demo request. The rest of this article is about getting that number to mean something before you take it to finance.
How much does WorkTango cost?
WorkTango's FAQ says that annual costs for the platform depend on your employee count. Nothing on the page ties a dollar figure to that count, and the review sites that print a per-employee rate for WorkTango are estimating. We will not repeat those estimates here, because they contradict each other and none of them comes from WorkTango.
What you can do is anchor the quote against vendors that do publish. Lattice lists its Engagement module at $4 a seat a month with a $4,000 minimum annual agreement, and 15Five lists Engage at $4 a user a month. Neither is a WorkTango price. At a published $4 a seat, a 300-person company pays $14,400 a year and a 1,000-person company $48,000 (our arithmetic). If a WorkTango survey quote at your headcount lands far above that, ask what the gap buys: the survey design experts, Anonymous Conversations, or the AI action recommendations. Our employee engagement survey pricing page lists every rate the major vendors publish, read at source.
Is there a minimum contract with WorkTango?
Yes. WorkTango's FAQ answers it directly: the minimum contract length is 12 months. There is no monthly option on the page and no trial. For a first engagement survey, that means you are committing to a year before the first response comes in, so the pilot question has to be settled in the sales process, not after it.
A 12-month term also means a renewal date that somebody has to own. The auto-renewal clause and the notice window usually sit in the order form, not the master agreement, and they are easy to lose once the platform is live. Log the renewal date and notice period in your contract management software the week you sign, so the decision to renew is made on your results rather than by default.
How many licenses do you get with Surveys & Insights?
This is the one pricing question WorkTango answers in your favor on the page itself. The FAQ says that although annual costs depend on employee count, once you buy Surveys & Insights you can assign as many employees as you like to have admin permissions. HR, people partners and department heads can all get admin access without each seat adding to the bill. Manager dashboards and access rules still have to be configured, but the count of admins is not what you are paying for.
How much do WorkTango rewards cost?
Rewards are a separate budget from the subscription, and WorkTango prices them differently from most recognition vendors. Its FAQ says rewards carry no markup when employees redeem from the rewards marketplace, and that you do not pay upfront for annual points: you only pay as employees redeem them. WorkTango's own article on rewards costs adds that there are no service fees and that 1 point always equals 1 cent.
The same article is useful for any recognition shortlist, because it names the three places reward money usually leaks: a markup of 20 to 30 percent on the catalog, per-transaction service fees of $5 to $15, and breakage, the 10 to 15 percent of issued points employees never spend, which is vendor revenue when points are billed at issue. Those ranges are WorkTango's characterization of its competitors, so treat them as the questions to ask every vendor, not as measured facts about any one of them.
For budgeting, keep the two lines apart. The subscription is priced on headcount. The rewards budget is whatever you decide to spend per employee. WorkTango's article uses a 1,000-person company spending $150 per employee a year as its example, which is a $150,000 rewards budget on top of the platform fee. If you are buying only the survey product, none of this applies to you.
How long does WorkTango take to set up?
WorkTango's FAQ says most organizations are ready to launch in 4 to 6 weeks. Add that to the 12-month term when you plan the first survey: if the contract starts on the first of the month, the first engagement survey realistically goes out in week six or seven, and results reach leadership a few weeks after that. The pricing page does not list a separate implementation fee, and it does not say one is included either. Ask for it in writing.
What to ask WorkTango before you sign
- Which headcount prices the survey product: total employees, or only those surveyed? If one region or the frontline group is the year-one scope, ask for a quote on that group.
- Whether implementation is a separate line. The page lists no fee and makes no promise either way.
- What adding employees mid-term does to the contract: reprices the whole year, or only the additions.
- The renewal terms: notice window, auto-renewal, and any cap on the renewal increase.
- For recognition buyers: confirm in the order form that rewards are billed at redemption and at cost, as the FAQ states.
WorkTango vs a flat-price assessment
WorkTango's survey product is a continuous listening tool: unlimited surveys, pulses, eNPS and conversations with employees, priced on headcount and sold on an annual term. AssessmentCloud answers a narrower question at a published price. It scores the whole company on five dimensions, culture and engagement alongside process maturity, digital readiness, skills and compliance, 0 to 100 against an industry median, with a prioritized action plan. Business is $119 a month, or $99 billed yearly, for up to 500 respondents a month, whatever your headcount. See our pricing.
| WorkTango Surveys & Insights | AssessmentCloud Business | |
|---|---|---|
| Price | Not published. Annual cost depends on employee count | $119 a month, or $99 billed yearly ($1,188 a year) |
| Minimum term | 12 months | Monthly plan available |
| Setup time | 4 to 6 weeks for most organizations | Under 20 minutes to set up |
| What it measures | Engagement, eNPS, lifecycle and custom surveys, continuously | Five organizational dimensions scored 0 to 100 against an industry median |
| Recognition and rewards | Available as a separate product | Not offered |
| Best for | Always-on listening plus recognition in one vendor | A whole-company readout at a known price |
If you want recognition, rewards and always-on listening from one vendor, WorkTango is built for that and we do not compete with it there. If the job is a scored diagnostic of the whole company this quarter, at a price you can read before the call, that is what we sell. The WorkTango alternatives page covers the wider field.
Other survey vendors that quote on request
WorkTango is not unusual in hiding its rate. CultureMonkey is quote-only too, but its pricing page states what the quote includes at each company size and names its one paid add-on; the breakdown is on our CultureMonkey pricing page. For the vendors that do publish, Lattice pricing and 15Five pricing are the cleanest anchors, and our guide to employee engagement software pricing works through annual cost at 25 to 1,000 employees.
Frequently asked questions
How much does WorkTango cost per employee?
WorkTango does not publish a per-employee rate. Its FAQ says annual platform costs depend on your employee count, and every product on the pricing page routes to Request Pricing. Per-employee figures on review sites are third-party estimates. Anchor your quote against published rates such as Lattice Engagement at $4 a seat a month.
Does WorkTango have a free trial?
No free plan or trial appears on WorkTango's pricing page. The route in is a demo request, after which WorkTango sends pricing. With a 12-month minimum contract, ask for any pilot terms in writing before you sign.
Can I buy WorkTango surveys without recognition?
Yes. WorkTango's FAQ says you do not have to purchase both Recognition & Rewards and Surveys & Insights; you can choose the products that fit your goals and existing HR tools. Buying both as the Full Employee Experience Platform brings volume discount pricing, according to the pricing page.
What is the minimum contract length for WorkTango?
Twelve months. WorkTango's FAQ states that the minimum contract length is 12 months, and no monthly plan is listed. Most organizations are ready to launch 4 to 6 weeks after signing, so the first survey lands in the second month of the term.
Does WorkTango mark up rewards?
WorkTango states it does not. Its FAQ says rewards carry no markup when employees redeem from its marketplace and that you pay only as points are redeemed, not upfront. Its rewards-cost article adds that there are no service fees and 1 point equals 1 cent.
What is a cheaper alternative to WorkTango for employee surveys?
Among vendors that publish prices, Lattice lists Engagement at $4 a seat a month with a $4,000 annual minimum, 15Five lists Engage at $4 a user a month, and Microsoft lists Viva Glint at $2.00 per user per month. For a whole-company scored diagnostic rather than continuous listening, AssessmentCloud is $119 a month flat.
