The 15Five alternatives worth pricing are Lattice, Leapsome, Small Improvements, Workleap, PerformYard, Betterworks, Culture Amp, Viva Glint and BambooHR. At 100 employees buying reviews plus engagement surveys, 15Five comes to $18,000 a year at list. By the same arithmetic Lattice is $16,800, Small Improvements is $10,800 and Leapsome is $13,200 while its platform fee is waived. Every rate below was read on the vendor's own pricing page between 1 and 5 October 2026, and every annual total is our multiplication of those rates, not a quote.
15Five is one of the few vendors in this market that prints a full rate card, so switching away from it is rarely about not knowing the price. It is usually one of three things: the per-user total has grown with headcount, the team only ever used one module, or the company wants something 15Five does not sell. Which of those applies decides which alternative makes sense, so this comparison is organized around it rather than around a star rating.
What 15Five charges, for reference
15Five lists Engage at $4 per user a month, Perform at $11 and Total Platform at $16, all billed annually. Compensation is a separate package at $9, or $11 with salary benchmarking. The AI add-ons are priced differently: the Kona meeting assistant is $2 per employee a month, Kona Coach is $19 per manager a month, management content is $49 per manager a month, and live coaching is $399 per credit. On minimums, the pricing FAQ says the standard packages are designed for organizations of all sizes and that some optional add-ons may carry minimum requirements.
For a 100-person company taking Engage plus Perform, that is $15 a user a month, or $18,000 a year. Taking Total Platform instead is $19,200. Add Kona Coach for 12 managers and the total rises by $2,736. Those are the numbers each alternative below has to beat. Our 15Five pricing page totals every plan and add-on at other headcounts.
What are the best 15Five alternatives?
The best 15Five alternative depends on which part of 15Five you are replacing. For the whole bundle of reviews, engagement and check-ins, Lattice and Leapsome are the closest matches. For a lower bill at small and mid-size headcounts, Small Improvements and Workleap publish the lowest rates. For engagement surveys alone, Viva Glint and Culture Amp are the stronger listening tools.
The 15Five alternatives and what each costs at 100 employees
The last column is our arithmetic: published list rate, times 100 employees, times 12 months, for performance reviews plus engagement surveys wherever the vendor sells both. Where a vendor publishes nothing, the row says so.
| Vendor | Published rate | Minimum or term | Year one at 100 employees (our arithmetic) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 15Five (the incumbent) | Engage $4, Perform $11, Total Platform $16 per user a month | Billed annually; no minimum stated on standard packages | $18,000 (Engage plus Perform) |
| Lattice | Performance $10, Engagement $4, Goals and OKRs $8, Foundations $13 per seat a month | $4,000 minimum annual agreement, billed annually in US dollars | $16,800 (Performance plus Engagement) |
| Leapsome | Engagement Surveys $4, Performance Reviews $7 per employee a month, plus a required platform fee of $7 list | Platform fee waived for buyers who sign by 31 December; no minimum term on the pricing page | $13,200 with the platform waived, $21,600 at full list |
| Small Improvements | Launch $3, Grow $6, Elevate $9 per user a month | Billed annually; 20-user minimum on Launch and Grow, 30 on Elevate | $10,800 (Elevate) |
| Workleap | Standard from $4,999 a year, Pro from $11,999 a year | Billed annually; Enterprise quoted above 250 employees | From $4,999 (Standard covers performance and engagement reports) |
| PerformYard | $5 to $15 per person a month on the Performance plan | Per seat, billed annually | $6,000 to $18,000 on the published range |
| Betterworks | Performance $8, Talent $9 per user a month | Engagement surveys only in a custom-priced Enterprise tier | $9,600 for performance alone |
| Viva Glint | $2.00 per user a month standalone | 50-seat license minimum, Microsoft 365 enterprise subscription required | $2,400 for engagement alone; no reviews |
| Culture Amp | No published price | Billed annually, quote only | Not published |
Two cautions on reading that table. First, the bundles are not identical. 15Five's Perform includes its manager check-in and one-on-one tooling; Small Improvements and PerformYard cover reviews and feedback but not 15Five's coaching marketplace; Workleap prices per plan, so its number moves differently with headcount. Second, every vendor here discounts in a sales conversation, and none of these totals includes that. Use them to rank the field, then ask each finalist for a year-one figure at your exact headcount.
Is Lattice better than 15Five?
Lattice is better than 15Five if you want compensation planning and career tracks in the same system as reviews, and 15Five is better if manager coaching and weekly check-ins are the point. On price they sit close: at 100 employees Lattice's Performance plus Engagement is $16,800 a year against 15Five's $18,000. The difference that matters at small sizes is Lattice's $4,000 annual floor, which 15Five does not publish.
Below about 84 seats, a company buying only Lattice Engagement pays the floor rather than the $4 rate. 15Five Engage at $4 has no stated floor, so a 30-person team buying engagement alone pays $1,440 a year on 15Five and $4,000 on Lattice. Our 15Five vs Lattice pricing comparison runs both cards at 50, 150 and 400 employees.
Is there a cheaper alternative to 15Five?
Yes. At 100 employees, Small Improvements Elevate is $10,800 a year against 15Five's $18,000 for reviews plus engagement, and Workleap Standard starts at $4,999 a year. If you only use 15Five for engagement surveys, Viva Glint is $2.00 a user a month, though it requires a Microsoft 365 enterprise subscription and a 50-seat minimum.
The cheapest option is not always the cheapest outcome. Small Improvements has no compensation module, so a team that used 15Five's comp package would need a second tool. Workleap's plan price is attractive at 100 people but quoted above 250. Price the module you actually use, not the headline.
Which 15Five alternative fits which buyer
- You use all of 15Five and want more HR breadth. Leapsome, which adds an HRIS, recruiting and learning on the same per-employee model. Ask what the platform fee costs at renewal, because the waiver is tied to a 31 December signing date.
- You want structured reviews and compensation in one place. Lattice. Watch the $4,000 floor below about 84 seats.
- You want reviews and feedback at the lowest published rate. Small Improvements, from $3 a user a month on Launch, with a 20-user minimum.
- You want engagement surveys more than reviews. Culture Amp for survey science and benchmarks, or Viva Glint if you already pay for Microsoft 365.
- You have more than 500 employees and care most about goals. Betterworks, which says it adds the most value above that size.
One more thing worth checking before you move. Many teams that leave 15Five keep the weekly one-on-one habit and only drop the software. If the check-in rhythm was the part that actually worked, the meetings themselves need little more than a recurring slot booked through scheduling software for business teams, and the money goes to whichever review tool you choose.
Who are 15Five's competitors?
15Five's main competitors are Lattice, Leapsome, Culture Amp, Small Improvements, Workleap, PerformYard and Betterworks in performance management, with Viva Glint and Quantum Workplace competing on engagement surveys alone. Lattice and Leapsome are the most common head-to-head rivals because they sell the same modular, per-user bundle with engagement attached.
Before you replace 15Five, check whether reviews are the problem
Every vendor above sells the same assumption: that the lever is how individual people are reviewed, coached and surveyed. Sometimes it is. Often a missed quarter traces back to a process nobody owns, two systems that do not share data, or a skills gap that opened after a reorganization, and a new review tool will not surface any of those.
AssessmentCloud scores the whole company across culture and engagement, process maturity, digital maturity, skills gaps and compliance readiness, and returns one 0 to 100 report against an industry median. It does not run performance reviews and is not a 15Five replacement for that job. It costs a flat $49, $119 or $279 a month with no per-user meter, so the Business plan is $708 a year billed yearly at any headcount. Run it before you sign the next people-tool contract, and you will know whether the money belongs in reviews at all. You can see the plans and start today, or compare the wider field on Lattice competitors, which prices the same vendors at 50 employees.
